It is unlikely that we go 8-4. I'd give it about a 25% chance. If it happens, we should probably evaluate our situation and if Sumlin needs to be fired, so be it.

As it is, Sumlin is on pace to have a better year than most of us predicted, and a much better year than any unbiased 3rd party predicted.

This is a pointless question. He is not going to get fired.

I like the staff he has put together. We finally have very experienced coordinators on both sides of the ball. We need more play makers in the defensive front 7.

So, I don't know.

You really think the team that you saw today can beat Ole Miss or frickLSU?

What was your prediction before the season?

Did you expect us to play 3 top 10 teams with much better talent than us?

Who gives a shite about "better than expected"? Is that what we want the standard to be for Aggie Football?

I picked losses to Tennessee, Alabama, Ole Miss, and LSU.

Yes, I think there is a chance that they win those games. It's really not even an opinion. It's a fact that we might.

If he finishes 8-4, probably. Next season is going to be tough regardless of who's coaching. Not sure if it's better for Sumlin to take the rap for that or a new guy.

This. If he salvages a 10-2 regular season you keep him. But he won't do that. This team now has the loser bug that all Sumlin teams get. We will finish 8-4. You know next season is going to be rotten, so if you keep him after this year you've got to keep him after next year.

This years recruiting class is his worst yet. I'd say 8-4 and you can his arse.

You have a basic posting model:

1. Say bad shite is happening behind he curtains

2. Predict bad shite will happen in games.

3. Remain quiet when bad shite doesnt happen in games.

4. Come to this board and pat yourself on the back the second something bad happens.

Well said! And I don't see how anybody can blame this abomination on coaching. The entire O and D was pitiful, Kirk really the only exception.

I'll be fine if I don't hear any more about our superior leadership, though. There weren't any leaders out there today.

Kirk and Reynolds played well. That's it

So you thing a 1-1 record against a good team and a bad thing is better if you beat the bad team and lose to the good team? I think it's just as good to beat the good team and lose to the bad team.

No. The loss to the bad team overwrites any momentum from beating the good team.

I thought Hubenak played OK. How well we do going forward is going to have a lot to do with how Mazzone adjusts our offensive approach since Hubenak is not much of a running threat. It is going to be difficult to run a lot of zone read because defenses will not respect the QB keeper.

So you're upset about the order of the games? That doesn't seem rational.

We beat one great team (Auburn), two good teams (Tennessee, Arkansas) and lost to a bad team that allowed 41 points to FCS Samford.

Here's what I think. It's a mixture of melt and pause.

Hoobs was the better QB and I think we may not have been in a 14 point hole had he started. for whatever reason, our regular starter just didn't have it today.

That defense, wow. That was bad. Like 2014 bad.

We sit at 7-2 right now. If we lose to both Ole Miss and LSU I say it's time to cut bait. If we win both, hold firm. If we slam Ole Miss and lose to LSU in a narrow contest, I would probably lean towards a hold but I just don't know.

I don't know why in year 5 Sumlin continues to have a FLAT team in a game. Having a flat game against a divisional foe is just unacceptable.

It's definitely a trend. And the trend is also that once his teams catch the losing bug they can't shake it.

And so you think a 3-1 record against a great team, two good teams, and a bad team is cause for firing?

I think it just means we are probably a good team. Not a great team, which is what you thought we were. That's why you're so upset.

Start 5-0, finish 2-5
Start 5-0, finish 3-4
Start 5-0, finish 3-4

Broken record.

We probably wouldn't be as mad if he wasn't such an arrogant prick.
