The problem is Liucci isn't really a "media member." Someone who works for a paper or a larger blog network can rely on backup from their superiors and gets paid even if the coach hates them.

frick it, let that motherfricker burn! I've always believed that other site had become too big and is now a liability to the university's image. Too many idiots who forget that while they get to keep their anonymity over the internet, the school they love doesn't.

I'm not sure what you guys are looking at, but Liucci's post on the premium forums is anything but complimentary. I think he hit on pretty much all the points everybody is bitching about here.

As for threads being whacked - I dunno. Haven't noticed. It's hard to believe any of those knocked the Aggies more than Liucci did. My guess is the whacked posts included unsubstantiated rumor-type stuff, especially with regards to Murray.

He just posted that and it was DEFINITELY influenced by the backlash. He never writes that without the entire site calling his shite.

He's trying to save business right now by feeding negativity for once.

This is exactly what it is. There is a post Billy got on the free board about how he is challenging anyone who doubts him to partake in the Q&A.

Dude is trying to save his source of income

Ah. Well I can believe that. The one thing that has always bothered me about Liucci and Gabe is they're both super-sensitive to criticism. In their line of work they need to harden the frick up. Some seem to be complaining about his powers of prognostication, which seems ridiculous to me. Maybe I'm misreading that. Or maybe I just don't care.

Honestly, Gabe would be fine. He should send some of his radio demos to GMs around the state. He has the voice and quality that is found in major markets. If TexAgs radio crumbles, he'll land somewhere quick.

Louie Bellina on the other hand should be thankful he has a, oh and by the way this post is brought to you by Double Dave's on Rock Prairie Rd.....you know, a job to begin with. Dude has the voice for sign language communication.

Whenever I hear Liucci on radio in the mornings, and it's clear he just rolled out of bed and is late sometimes, I imagine he's wearing pajama pants a ratty tshirt and fip flops. he just sounds like a slob on the radio.

He predicts a W for every motherfricking game. How can you be a respected journalist if you are best buds with the coach

Maybe when it crumbles Chicken can pick it up for $1.

Was reading through his midnight response thread where he's supposed to take questions about the game and answer them. Most blue stared question "how can you have "sources" in this program and make no comment on the kyler/space drama that emerged last week?". I'll give y'all three guess to if he answered it, or conveniently skipped over it.

While he's finally admitting Spav is a problem, he also has his stereotypical BS pre canned responses like "I expect the team will tweak the offense Some this week". No they won't, sumlin has trotted this same craptastic calling OC every week and let him call horrible plays all season and last, he's not going to change this week either. Our offense may look better next week but that's because SC is a far worse team than ole miss, you know they kind of team that Spav racks his stats up against before floundering against teams with a pulse.

Liucci derives his self worth from his connection to the program. He was an awkward college kid who stumbled into a friendship with Seth McKinney and several other players and basically just circumstance opened this door.

He has no useful job skills (hell, his writing is terrible and that IS most of his job) and all of his friends and associates are related to his job. He has never been married and still hangs out in bars picking up college chicks at 40. Everything about him from his maturity to his lifestyle to how he dresses reeks of someone trying desperately to never leave college.

It's kinda sad

He did answer that question on page 14 or 15. Basically told the guy to F off and posters should be thankful for the amount of access he gives them. It's like he forgets he's paid to do this
