He might be right. If we land Hornsby, demos and Evans in 2020 I’ll be ecstatic. If you look at 2021 - we could be a top 1/2 rated class as their are so many top 100 guys leaning our way.

I think #3 is probably our ceiling. Getting from top 5 to in the hunt for top class is harder than getting from top 25 to top 5. We are never going to close enough national kids to have the top recruiting class.
For example; if we took the top 25 kids in the state of Texas next year. Literally 1-25, we would have scored one point higher than alabama's class right now.

I've been wanting to follow recruiting closer for the last few years but I dont know where to start. What are the good free sources of info? Not really into the idea of paying money just yet.

You can get started here and following the surlyhorns recruiting board. Most of the paid "news and info" gets posted within an hour of hitting the pay sites.
