Mond winning is excellent news. Starker could have won without improving at all, as long as mond didn’t improve quite a bit.

Mond being the starter means at a minimum, he’s come a long way. Most likely they’ve both improved which makes me even more bullish mond took it.

While I’m surprised like someone else said this seems like a good omen. It’s just hard to forget how helpless Mond looked at times last year (even looking through the he’s a true freshman lens)

I think he’d still have had to improve considerably as a passer and decision maker bc avoiding sacks is much more about making quick decisions and getting the ball out, than it is about running away. Scrambling away from pass rushers usually means getting sacked.
