I must say I've always thought Deez Nuts was just as qualified to run the country as Obama.

With Iowa so close, how about we restart this. Its funny going back and reading some of the older posts.

Anyone change their minds on a candidate or candidates?

I'm fairly excited about Cruz's chances and I am loving Hilldawg struggling after basically being given the nom already.

I still say Trump hasn't stepped on his dick enough.

He'll be the republican nominee unless something changes

IDK. Cruz is trying to turn it into Cruz vs Trump. If he's able to do that, then a lot of the Rubio, Carson, Bush supporters would go with Cruz.

Lindsay Graham is.

But seriously, he's running 4th in Iowa & SC, 5th in NH.

Best country in the world and these are the best candidates we could come up with? This country is fricked.

I hear everything Trump is saying, but the dude seems all talk...too much talk. He doesn't know how or when to shut the frick up. Nothing will get done in Washington with this dumbass in office with the way he talks about people. He just needs to go away.

Cruz sounds like a stereotypical late night paid programming Evangelical TV host. He sounds a lot like a politician. Do not want.

Christie sounds like a crooked Yankee politician. His bridge lane closing tactics is all I need to know. I don't care if he was cleared of any error, it still happened under his watch. That's about as dirty as a politician can be.

Bush says all the right things. He makes the most sense and his brother isn't the devil the media makes him to be. Unfortunately, his brother's unpopularity won't get him the bid. Democrats blame George for every bad thing that happened under his presidency. If a kid broke his arm under the bush presidency, I'm sure people will find a way to blame George Bush. His brother has to deal with the faux fallout.

Rubio and Paul sound like polar opposites when it comes to running government, and I could get on board with either of them. Unfortunately, they also won't win the bid. They're just there to take up space.

Clinton seems like another slimy politician who is willing to abuse her political power (she has the history of doing so). Unfortunately SJWs are dead set in breaking another Presidential first in making her the first female president. Pretty sad they couldn't wait for a more honest and more qualified female to come along.

O'Malley...Who is this guy?????

Sanders...bless his heart. He should move to Europe.

Fiorina is just on stage because they need a token women on the GOP race. She seems to be dumb as rocks but very scary when it comes to playing business politics.

Ben Carson should just stop. It's obvious he does not mean some of the things he is saying. He seems like a true conservative when it comes to government but when it comes to social issues he doesn't seem to mean it. Dude is smart and knows if he doesn't tow the social conservative stance, he is out. Also, anyone else think he may be a 'closet' kind of guy? I get that vibe from him.

As a country, were fricked. Why can't we have someone who is fiscally conservative, yet socially liberal??? Republicans have made the mistake of getting in bed with the tea party extremist and now Democrats are doing the same with the socialist.

Overall, we seem to be fricked. May as well start the Texas Secession movement.

In what world is this even relevant??? The fact that he added that automatically disqualifies him for me. Pretty egotistical to add an achievement that has absolutely nothing to do with anything. Seems like he is running for personal reasons and not because he cares for the country.

I still think when push comes to shove Trump won't get the nomination. Apart from being a sideshow act, he's essentially a democrat with more nationalist tendencies. Nominating him sends the message that the GOP doesn't care about how conservative you are as long as you protect us from brown people.

I'm not as opposed to Cruz as I was back in August, he's dropped a lot of the evangelical religious rhetoric and does seem like the guy with the most raw intelligence among the candidates. I still don't like his idealistic and practically unrealistic views on immigration (despite being for amnesty in the past). I think he would do more good as a Supreme Court justice than President because he opposes judicial activism.

I still think Rubio has the best shot at beating Hilary in the general election. He has more national appeal than Cruz and hasn't alienated millions like Trump.

Carson just needs to go away. I feel like I'm listening to Bob Ross when he speaks.

I can't tell if you're trolling SECRant style or are serious. Hopefully not the latter. Trump would be a huge failure in the presidency. Politics is a give and take game. He only seems to like to take. He has pissed off enough people in both parties and if he gets to the presidency, nobody will be willing to work with him.

Besides, how can anyone ignore his past with the Clintons?

I'm always surprised how much we agree on politics

I think Cruz ends up winning it though if I'm going to call my shot

I care because our country can't take much more liberal foreign and fiscal policy. This is the most important election since 1980 IMO.
