There's no easy behind that offensive line. Two of those guys needed a hall pass to use the restroom last spring.

Straight up, they can't afford to fire Strong. The AD does not have the funds to allocate. They are stuck with him at least 1-2 more seasons.

Buying him out is one thing but getting him out is another. Not saying race will be an issue, but race will be an issue. Austin is supposed to be the liberal fortress in TX but Strong is their first black coach. They were behind conservative TAMU hiring a black coach, and well behind many of the SEC schools they often mock.

I could be wrong here, but if they can Charlie too soon the costal media folks will play the race card in an effort to force texas to submit to a B1G or PAC offer. Would the PAC ever go to equal revenue sharing if Southern Cal was not under the NCAA cloud and reigned in from their normal self?
