Can we laugh at their writers as well?

We are the biggest $#@! in the biggest state in the heart of footballlandia. Every kid wants to go to Texas. Every school wishes they were Texas. We're not the aggies or Texas Tech or Texas State or UTEP. We're Texas. That means something everywhere college football is watched. We may be down and we may be losing to other teams - for now - but if you believe for one second that it's going to stay that what then you're a bigger moron than I thought. Other programs come and go. We're Texas. We're ******* football royalty, acknowledged from coast to coast as one of the biggest and best football programs around. Just like Pacino said in Any Given Sunday, "you're not some flash in the pan corner back or wide receiver. You're the *******ed quarterback!" Well, we're Texas. And don't you ever forget.

Perfectly juxtaposed are the lies of hubris that got them in the situation they are in.

I mean, Charlie Strong will work out because every kid naturally wants to go to Texas. It doesn't matter if Charlie flunked public speaking or runs a boot camp, kids will surely still sign up just because We're Texas.

I mean, they might bitch but no program is going to leave the Big 12 just because of the LHN. If they were in our position they would have taken that same deal in a heartbeat, and surely they will realize that.

I hope they never find the mirror.

I learned today that Jamaal Charles competed in the special olympics as a 10 year old. While I applaud him opening up about his learning disability, this seems like low hanging sip fruit.

Not sure where else to put it so I'll post here. The guys on Texags found the Randolph guy from shaggy posting on the Colts message boards since A&M is threatening to sue them.

I knew he disliked us but holy hell, how can a sane person spend that much time obsessing over another school? I despise tu and what it stands for but you won't catch me researching their history for years trying to find holes in their story. This dude read through old battalions, newspaper stories, and more for months and is trying to prove the 12th man is a lie?

It's not really funny, sad, embarrassing, or something else. I can't really come up with what word to use, it's just......scary how obsessed with A&M he is.

The Duke is on another level. I thought I was bad when it came to wallowing in their realignment misery, but even in my worst moment I wasn't in the same solar system as the Duke.

Kind of off topic for this thread but here is how I see things playing out in the future.

At some point this game will come back. (I personally don't think it should, but it will at some point.)

I think it will end up being like the schedule was back in the 90's. Our big OOC game to open the year (vs. tu) then the big in conference game to close the year (vs. LSU)

When the game comes back if it has to. This is how I would like to see it scheduled. Opening game vs the sips and close the season out with the Swampers. How do y'all see it playing out?

But if it did come back I like the scenario you've laid out. Play them the first game

Iowa and Iowa State usually play their in-state rivalry game around the 2nd or 3rd week of the season, not as the opener for both teams. This allows both teams to get a cupcake win and work out the kinks before hand.

IF AND ONLY IF the series is resumed (and I could care less if it is) this would be better for us (yes it would be better for them too). However, two conditions MUST be in place:
1) Neutral conference referees in all games
2) Never broadcast on LHN (we may have to agree to not broadcast it on SECN either)

SOP

Lots of my family are sips. Last year on thanksgiving there was a big debate between me and a few of them as to what day they played TCU.

I said "right fricking now" and they said no way it was saturday. Then they tried to find it on tv and couldn't so that "proved" them right. So I happily set both tvs to A&M/LSU.
