Well SI reported that originally, but now he's apparently day-to-day. So you can still feel good about making fun of him

Charlie Strong reverses field and embraces gadgets and gimmicks...

As reminder last year when Strong arrived and A&M recruiting was brought up: LINK

From ESPN Big 12 blog. Texas now using tweets to shout out to recruits. They can't use their name so they found a way around it. Here you go:

....another top linebacker was the target of the next Vaughn tweet, Dontavious Jackson who plays for the Alief Elsik Rams. Tweet said "Jacked up about a Ram!!!" Tweet included photo of a ram.

Vaughn moved on from the Houston area to Central Texas, targeting Waco High defensive back Eric Cuffee. Tweet said "Need those Hand "Cuffs", in ATX" Included photo of a Lion.

Vaughn continued shortly after with a shout out aimed at versatile Southlake Carroll prospect Lil’Jordan Humphrey.
Tweet said "Shout Out to the Dragon from the South of the Lake!" Included a cartoon drawing of a dragon (not a joke)

They are texass... no gadgets required

texass... What Starts Here, but was ridiculed a year earlier, Changes the World....

I'm liking the way Hurd plays. He was very good last week and he had some nice plays the first drive against OSU.

He is undisciplined, so some of his youth/aggressiveness might come back to bite him in the arse though.

Nice player, so far.

The Texas defense might be the worst out of every single power 5 team. Turn to ESPN if you want to see Oklahoma State score 50. I mean, it's comically bad.

Lol. Losing in the last second again. Priceless! Couldn't have drawn up two more hilariously tragic losses than the past two weeks.

Barking Carnival is barking mad
quote:

This officiating crew had a clear bias problem, which means, by definition, a corruption problem and, perhaps, even a financial interest problem. At least one of those descriptives is inarguable.

The game outcome was determined by the officiating crew. Any other viewpoint is ignorant of objective and empirical reality. Right now, I'm simply interested in determining what kind of human garbage we're dealing with: pro Cowboy or anti-Texas game riggers, corrupt gamblers, straight up racists who want to undercut a predominantly black coaching staff at the state Flagship or simply petty small men who decided early on they were going to "get" Texas for some unknown slight. I truly don't know. I've just never seen anything so blatantly purposeful in a football game.

Understandable

In fairness, Hurd appears to be much, much better than Swoopes. And instead of 3-9 I'm now predicting 4-8.

But who wants to be fair? frick you and your Core Values, Charlie, and frick your snide comments about "gadget programs". You cannot lose enough games for me. This year or forever.
