This is a prime example of why Sumlin doesnt let freshman talk to the media.
I get what Malik was trying to say after reading the whole quote but it was incredibly clumsy and is easily misunderstood when its cut up for public consumption.

Before clicking the link and while I was giving Malik too much credit, I thought he might be referring to a colossal idiot being a UT graduate and that UT shouldn't be publicizing this. But now I'm pretty sure he's just saying they need to stop glorifying the past and concentrate on now. Damn kids these days. It was only 10 years ago!
