I haven't followed him as a coach. Has he ever sat a tenured QB in a situation like this? Definitely could be warranted, but curious if he's ever done it. Like Clemson putting in Lawrence over Bryant a couple years back

I’m guessing if Jimbo benches mond he could potentially lose half of the team because you know.

So does any other QB get any touches this season?

I was kinda wondering that. There has been so much talk from Jimbo about leadership growth etc if Mond. If that's the case and much of the team has bought into him as the team leader I wonder what would happen to chemistry if he was replaced. And to guys behind him may not be generational like T Lawrence was at Clemson

I think Jimbo's ideal situation was to get Calzada some touches in blow out games. We just wasted one of the few opportunities we were supposed to have this year based on the betting line coming into the game with Vandy.

King probably needs some reps in a normal Spring practice cycle to truly be ready to get actual game reps.

Anyone else hope that Buddy Johnson, Leon O'Neal and the rest of the defense beat Mond within an inch of his life after practice next week for the shite he put them through?

I assume you’re hyperbolizing, but get out of here with this shite.

Now I’m just concerned you’ve had a stroke.

Right now I would fire Buzz and double Kennedy's salary if that meant that Mond wouldn't play any remaining games this season and we would have a 100% guarantee that he would not be eligible in 2021.

Someone posted a hilarious photo on Facebook that purported to be a Battalion Article stating that Sully is calling for Mond's removal and that the rest of the statues on campus are planning to protest until that happens. I wish I had the link.

Buddy told me that Jimbo kinda hinted that Calzada could see some playing time during his presser. Anyone read or see that?

He did NOT say that. When asked if King and Calzada were ready for SEC action he said they are because they practice against the TAMU defense every day. But I did not hear one mention that they will see playing time against Bama. There was no discussion of playing time beyond the Bama game for anyone. Except over time he wants to get some of the freshman players involved when a game is under control.

Damn so there's pretty much no chance that Kellen is going to get pulled.

So the freshman will have zero experience heading into next season.

No in fact he was his normally complimentary self towards Kellen. He said Kellen would obviously like to get back the four or five off the target early passes. And he said they have to work on not fumbling. I honestly have heard the same thing for three years now. TAMU is not the university players should come to to learn not to fumble. I'm not being a smartazz but only hearing him say the same things over and over and over again, year in and year out. The Aggies will have some solid games this season. I'm almost sure about that.

Either they are competitive and the freshmen stay out. Or, they have a couple of great games and some freshmen come in. Or they are getting so blown out it makes no difference if a freshman comes in. What do you think? A, B or C?
