Bypass sounds scary but it is so routine these days and 95% of patients do well. He'll feel like he got hit by a bus for a couple weeks but it gets better after that.

Sorry about the delay. Nothing really has been going on.
They have decided to release dad from rehab on Tuesday. No clue if he will be moved to another floor or sent home until he is ready for surgery. He has a shock vest on now for his heart. The case manager looked upset when I asked her to get information about when the surgery is planned.

Dad woke up disoriented and decided he could take a stroll. Needless to say he now has 7 staples holding a giant gash closed. He is in the hospital until the surgeon decides otherwise. Waiting on surgery till the optimal time. Friday is reevaluation day. My family appreciates all the thoughts and prayers. Dad thinks he will still be able to make Aggie football games next year......

Update - so dad is at home with his defib shock vest. Mom is a bit stressed by it but it's getting easier. He meets with the surgeon late April to see if he is ready for surgery.
