Florida hasn’t had a coach for a month and has only lost 3 I think. We’ve lost 0 so far.

It’s all fsu’s Fault for forcing the issue and being themselves in the media and fan base lol.

I don't have much to add but did want to drop in and say: watching the sips last two coaching hires and LSU's, it's become obvious that the days of stealing big name coaches are pretty much gone. Unless you walk into a lucky situation with a coach wanting to return to his AM (like dabo waiting on bama) it just doesn't happen anymore these days. Just like rojo on texags and his stupid spurrier tale, don't think LSU was ever close to landing Jimbo Fischer.

This thread is fun if you go look through some of the early posts

FSU people keep saying hes likely gone tomorrow or friday at the latest. wonder what will end up happening

-To wrap it up tonight, Fisher isn't changing his mind in the 11th hour this time around and I'd expect him to touch down in Texas on Sunday and be on the road recruiting in the Maroon & White as early as Monday, which will probably be a pretty surreal sight for high school football coaches around Texas - one that they never would have dreamed they'd see. His impact on the trail has landscape-changing potential in the Lone Star State and throughout the SEC and Deep South, something we'll spend a lot of time talking about next week and throughout the race to National Signing Day.

Saw your exchange with the Nole last night. You must hate FSU for some reason. You seem to have a hard on for them.

Backstory??

Nothing personal, they have a fan base that is like Texas tech with tennessee’s Online presence and high levels of recent success.

Also, the city kind of sucks too.

Look at this shite—->

Really really despicable stuff here.

That was sent to one of Jimbo’s kids? I don’t think either are even teenagers

I don't care a bout them either way although I did pull for them when they played Florida( back in Spurrier days because he was such a whiny bitch. Just liked to watch Spurrier melt down.

Wife hates them for obvious Jameis related issues. We have family in Venice, FL and stayed close to campus in Tallahassee this past July to break the drive up. Really in the middle of nowhere with not much to see or do if you aren't in school. For the last week I have been dropping in on Warchant but really haven't read anything there that bad. Of course, it looks like they moderate that board pretty firmly.

If you’re on twitter, FSU twitter is kind of a meme of themselves at this point. THey are bad.

Jumbos older son is a sophomore in HS I think, he's actually a REALLY good 2020 QB prospect who will almost certainly come to us now.

It seems really strange to me that Jimbo would coach this Saturday. I can't imagine any of the parties involved want him to coach at this point, unless he's staying. This is what's keeping me from getting on the it's-already-a-done-deal train.

If he does leave FSU (still hasn’t happened yet, don’t count chickens before they hatch) he’s the first NC winning coach to do so since the guy left Pitt for Tennessee back in the 70s or whatever. This would be considered an incredibly fortunate situation, FSU seems to not want to invest in their football program facilities so Fischer is finally going to walk. Every other big name out there this year besides Chip Kelly isnt going anywhere, if he does come here we hit a 1 in 100 shot.

Glad to be proven wrong though if we do actually land him.

I like it though, he’ll be able to tell families and recruits that he refused to leave his players despite pressure from FSU AD

It's the combined effect of having a big time AD who happens to have a good past relationship with Jimbo.
