He usually isn't very liberal with predictions so the fact that he came out with this is intriguing.
I have to agree and find that information really interesting. I always noticed during my two week trials on premium that he would avoid all the speculation and flat out ignore questions about sumlin’s hotseat, firing, and even replacement. So if he’s acknowledging it and commenting about it, it must finally be about to happen. As to his sources, I doubt they’re any better than any of the wannabe keyboard warrior rojo clones over there or here.
Also, for the post about the bayside guy, the dude has over 20+ posts a day on texags, he just likes to hear himself talk. I wouldn’t believe anything he posts, he just wants people to think he knows sh** when he doesn’t.

I'm at least glad it's not Dan Mullen w/his smoke and mirrors.

Rumor is Jimbo leaves before coaching the last game. There is BAD blood right now in Tallahassee.

Yeah I don't see why it would be a given Jimbo coaches the ULM game if he were leaving

I'm looking at statistics and I'm not liking what I see from Jimbo. His total defense fell after his National championship year and never recovered. His total offense isn't any better than Sumlin's either.
I haven't looked at efficiency and scoring defense/offense. But so far, not liking what I'm seeing.

He's won at the highest level, averages over 10 wins a year and went 27-1 with his transcendent player. Sumlin went 20-6 with his.
His win totals without Winston are 10, 9, 12, 10, 10 and probably 6. Sumlin's without Manziel are 8, 8, 8 and probably 7.

The bottom line is you're either hiring an up and comer or an established coach. Among established coaches, he's the only one available with multiple P5 conference titles and a national title.
There isn't a more proven candidate available. If that's the type you're aiming for, he's the best option. His resume is bested only by Dabo, Meyer and Saban among active coaches.

Unless things have changed the last couple years Looch is extremely well connected with the AD/Football program. Better than anyone
Posted on 11/23/17 at 10:48 pm to Mr. Elvert
His connections are usually offset by the gag order imposed on him by the AD. The only way to get all that access is to only give out the info when the program gives the ok.
Which makes this scenario all the more interesting. Clearly someone high up in the AD has given him the go ahead to run with a story basically guaranteeing an active coach will be fired (even under Fran this didn't happen) and that his replacement is likely to be Fisher. That's incredibly specific and forward info by Liucci's standards.

Good points and rationale, I agree.

And regardless of who the coach is, they'll have a great setup. We return every scholarship OL, all but 2 scholarship receivers, 2 scholarship QBs with starting experience, our starting RB, every scholarship LB and all but 2 scholarship DBs (one of whom had no impact this year). We also get Harvey and Wilson back.
We also have a schedule that has a break in opener then both Clemson and Bama early. If we win one of those, the hype will be off the charts. If we don't, we'll a new coach lost to two top 5 teams and we have our toughest games behind us already. It sets up very well for a strong finish.

Nah. BZ usually has the inside scoop when it comes to AD issues. Liucci has recruiting on lockdown.

There's more to just total number of wins. Offensively and defensively, his teams haven't been dominant since 2014.

Serious question.... are you trolling?

I'm pretty sure Brent's only decent source is one of our regents or someone in their office.

Nope. While no one can touch Billy on recruiting, he has no more information about the athletic department to offer than any other beat writter.
He may have more sources due to TA being in bed with the Athletic Department, but he's severely restricted in what he can report on (which pretty much makes him no better than his competitors).

will be really interesting to see what kind of access luicci gets with new coach. how does jimbo handle the media, and does he have a mouthpiece like feldman in his pocket?
