Welcome to the ark. We're glad to have you, but there are some things you need to understand before you start posting. This is not TexAgs, 247, or whatever other aggy centric site you came from. This is the Ark, and we behave like gentlemen (and women) here, even when trolling. This board is better policed than your old board.
Starting threads: titles need to actually describe the content inside. Look at TexAgs for examples of how not to do this. If you want to post about miles garrett's handsome thighs, don't just make your thread title "Amazing!". Be descriptive.
Trolling: some of us love it, some hate it. I'd suggest you wait a while until you are more familiar with the rant to try, or just don't at all. ONLY troll on the SEC rant. All other boards are verboten. All questions should be directed to WestCoastAg, TeLeFaWx, ShaneTheLegLechler, or ProjectPat.
Subsection a: Until you are a known poster, stay off the TigerRant and the LSU recruiting board. You will get banned for the slightest negative comments about LSU. Do you think I'm fricking with you? I am not fricking with you.
Subsection b: Off limits topics for trolling that will get you banned quicker'n owl shite:
Katrina
Tornadoes
Other events leading to death
Les Miles's Wife
Cartoons depicting lewd or provocative things. Probably Mohammad too.
Getting trolled: according to the rant, all Aggies are flamboyantly homosexual, and enjoy filling mason jars with semen whenever we are pleased about something. Expect it and own it. We don't get trolled or melt for anything unless we goddamn choose to. When you see someone talk about us being little brother, you may feel a slight sting. That's pride fricking with you. frick pride. Pride only hurts, it never helps. All questions about melting should be directed to CGSCLobotomy.
Logos: Don't get drawn offsides by the team logo next to someone's screen name on this site. A common gambit for trolling newbs is to pose as a fan of another school. Have some situational awareness and look at the post history, avi, signature, and screen name. If you can't figure it out, they're probably an LSU/Bama/TCU fan.
Other aggys: We follow Ronald Reagan's 11th Commandment: Thou shalt not speak ill of other Ags in public. If you have a bone to pick with a fellow ag, do it here or elsewhere, not on the rant. Don't ever take sides with anyone against the family.
Texas or other big 12 fans occasionally post on the rant, usually something about us. Ignore them, the other sec fan bases will eventually expel them out like the vodka cherry sour your girlfriend drank one too many of.
If any of the other Ags here have suggestions for adding to the list, I'm all ears. Please include a movie quote in your addition.

Biggest thing I can say is to tread lightly on the rant. We have a reputation to uphold

Stay the hell off of the LSU recruting board until you are known as a poster and even then tread lightly. TigerRant is dangerous when something happens at LSU good or bad be careful

Leave trolling to the rant. Recruiting board and all other boards should be kept somewhat troll free

Add Les's wife to off limit list.

Really? I didn't know she was on the bannable list, I don't think I've ever seen her come up as a topic....... oh. Ok, I see.

If you see a thread on tRant that makes your blood boil and are about to respond, don't. Odds are it is a troll post. If it is not a troll post the other Ranters will clean it up for you. If some of tRanters see you are making posts emotionally in anger they will troll you into oblivion.
For your first 30 posts or so, stick to relatively benign topics that will give you a chance to get a feel for how tRant operates. tRant is advanced level internet and many posts have at least 3 or 4 levels of different humor or conversation going on.
If you know of a significant news story that is more than about 4 hours old check at least 3 pages down to make sure it has been posted, in fact it is best not to start topics early in your tRant career. Very little gets by tRant. Also, for pro-A&M information it is best to usually wait until it is posted by another poster from another school if possible and then respond. If you are posting something that is A&M centric it will be better received here. Once you are established though you will have more leeway.

this thread should be a sticky IMO
also, don't ever post anything remotely close to a spoiler in the TV board's Game of Thrones thread. I caught a ban for simply saying I knew there was a character that is dead in the show but not in the books. Didn't name the character, when they died in the show, or anything like that.
and yes, I'm still mildly butthurt over it.
