Yep, saban always complains when something threatens Bama’s dominance and he doesn’t like it.
Remember he complained about hurry up offenses a few years back all in the name of “player safety” but when it became clear NCAA wasn’t going to do anything about it, guess what, they opened up their offense too and have run hurry up in some situations themselves on all of their recent teams.
The guy is obviously one of the best coaches of all time, but it doesn’t stop him from being a whiny bi*** and trying to keep his thumb down on everybody else so he can stay at the top more easily.

I truly believe he is misrepresenting the sales pitch as well. There is a difference between outlining what we have once you become a player and what possibilities there are vs just flat out handing out cash or signing a contract right then and there.

Bama's defense on that one is that Young was already on the team and that wasnt used to entice him to come to school. Saban in that interview admits there is an "Alabama collective" as well to help the players get opporutnities once they are on the team, but that he isnt using it as an enticement for recruits, which would technically still be illegal under the NCAA laws.

I listened to the Finebaum reaction and Bayless and Shannon Sharpe. There is a lot of wink, wink, nod, nod Texas A&M is paying players through legalized cheating.
As much as anything Saban is working diligently to shape the narrative and slip in doubt about A&M for the upcoming recruiting class.
