Let me put it this way...
Coming out of the half against USCe Jimbo said we needed to keep running the ball to succeed. The next 7 plays he called were passes. That wasn't a one off either. He abandons the run all the time. I don't think you need to worry about our run game taking over.

I don't think we have enough running backs to do that. Achane is good for 100 plus or minus 10 at most.

He was saying Achane is really our only known running threat anyone needs to worry about this year. On average will get us anywhere from 90-110 yards but that's about it when it comes to our rushing game.
Achane has 117 carries on the year for 627 yards which is good for 89.5 YPG.
King and Max are 2 and 3 for rushing this year w/King at 27 carries for 95 yards and Johnson at 29 carries for 58 yards.
Our backup RB LJ Johnson (who may or may not be in the process of quitting the team) has only gotten 10 carries for 39 yards.

You have to be able to block to run the ball, and this OL cannot even execute basic blocking one on one.

Ole Miss can run block, when healthy. I think we have two starters on the OL out. We'll see, Ag bros.

It means that Achane is only good for 90-110 yards. Might not even get that much unless he finds a lucky crease and busts a really long one. Our OL is a raging dumpster fire.

This is the only thing that gives me hope. Weigman is pretty slippery and fast.
