Ags vs Texas Tech in Academy Texas Bowl In Houston

Ags vs OKie St in lLiberty Bowl (Memphis)

Honestly hard to imagine worse matchups for our secondary. Yuk if one of these materialize.

If we beat LSU, we'll get a far, far better bowl than either of those.

We get smoked in those matchups.

I want a slow arse Big 10 team like Michigan State.

I also wouldn't mind getting an AAC matchup vs SMU or Tulane.

IDGAF about a "fun" or impressive opponent. I want to fricking win. I want our damn bowl record to be above .500 so who the hell ever is the best matchup for our defense and offense is who I want. We need to win 6 straight bowls to get there.

Sumlin/Mazzone dropping 3 straight against teams we should have beat was horse shite.

Yall said the same thing about Ole Miss, who beat Tech by three touchdowns.

Zero interest in playing a BDF team. I want to win out and get a crack at a Big 10 team in a Florida bowl.

Ole Miss beat Texas Tech by running all over them.

I wouldn't mind these matchups. trayveon would have 300 yards against either. we smother the ball and don't let their defense off the field.

Will Trayveon even play in the bowl game? I wouldn't if I were him. No reason to get hurt when he could be preparing for the draft.

Tray isn't LF7, from a draft prospect or personality standpoint.

You think he won't get drafted in the 3rd-4th round? RBs need to get out as soon as they can and his improvement with his blocking this year should be enough to get him in the NFL. There is no reason for him to stay.

Maybe he stays loyal and plays but I wouldn't be shocked or mad if he doesn't.

He gone.

But Corbin will do the same thing.

I think it's more likely that Trayveon returns. If you have good reason to think you could play yourself into the first round, then it makes financial sense to return to school.

I don’t think he has a legitimate chance to play himself into the first round and I don’t mean that as a knock against him. Just the nature of running backs in the NFL these days. If he does though that’s part of the draft committees role and I’m sure he will get input from them

Williams’ combine numbers alone could put him into round 2.

I think it’s not likely at all. First round? Not in the current NFL. He plays running back.

He has second round potential now and a very, very good shot at going in the third. He’s never getting a higher position draft-wise than he has now. Coming back and risking injury would be monumentally stupid.

It doesn’t matter because Corbin is going to end up being better anyway.

I love Tray. Hope he goes and gets paid.

And Corbin is the TRUTH.

There were three running backs drafted in the first round last year. Over the last ten years, there have usually been 2 or 3 RBs drafted in the first round. I know people act like RBs aren't drafted in the first round anymore, and for a couple years that was true, but I'm not really sure it's true anymore,

Williams is good but he is not a Barkley or Michel level athlete. He’s fairly similar to Kerryon Johnson last year who went mid round 2 which is possible for Williams. I just don’t think passing up a round 2-4 slot is worth staying in school when you consider the injury risks for a back who will likely touch the ball 250+ times again next year

Selfishly I hope he does but I don’t think it would be a good decision and having some knowledge of his background it seems unlikely unless he gets a very unfavorable grade from the draft committee. He should go get paid and play for money while he’s still healthy
