Does anyone believe that Christensen will take over as OC?

Dave Christensen was the OC at Utah last year and the running coordinator at A&M this year. He was a OC under Gary Pinkel at MIZZOU too. I was just thinking that this could be the reason we haven't heard anything.

No

Sumlin will get fired if he tries to do this.

I don't think he would be fired for trying it, but would be threatened, then fired if he did it anyway.

Because Christensen isn't a big name, not good? I'm just trying to understand why this would be such a bad thing.

It's possible. I expected him to take over for Spav eventually when he was hired last year. He does have strong credentials. But the results haven't been seen yet. Hard to say how much is on him vs Spavs predictable play selection.

But I think most fans unfairly blame him for poor O-line play. (Of course that is ignoring the terrible job BJ Anderson did of coaching technique.) DC installed a new run blocking scheme and the players need to be coached up more.

They aren't firing him no matter what he does for OC.

Your sources may be on the "we want him gone train" but there just aren't enough people on that bandwagon to make a move.

If he was going to get canned it would have already happened.

Accept it baw.

Meachum is our new OC

Sumlins job is very secure for next year, even if Spav stayed OC

Meacham signed a new contract with TCU in the past few weeks. Seems weird he would do that if he's coming to A&M

Grandfather is pretty well connected and is saying that the plan at this moment is Spav, Christensen, and likely Moorehead are out with Meachem coming in. Just waiting for his bowl game to be over.

I don't feel like listing the credentials. Just look at my post history and see I don't troll or post things that can't be backed up.

How the hell does McKinney still have a job in that scenario?

I heard something similar to this earlier today from a large donor, how true it is who knows.

He has that "hey Kev remember that one time in Vegas?" clause in his contract.

Wait wait wait. What is unfair?

I get that the previous guy recruiting and coached like crap, but the Oline got worse this year. I get Rome isn't built in a day, but Chavis shows us an elite coach gets results quickly.

I personally want him to go more than Spav. At least Spav recruits at an elite level. Meanwhile we have lost almost every elite OL recruit we once had committed under his watch. Spav can stay as a QB coach as far as I care. DC needs to go, and we need to at least ask if Sherm will coach OL.
