To be clear: I do not

This is an incredibly tight lipped search. The VT post is very credible to me though because it actually lines up nicely on the few things I have heard. Usually random bullshite is easy to spot because they get days wrong or whatever. This person either guesses really well or they are at least hearing the same things I did.

Based on things you have heard, would agree Foster is in the lead spot right now?

All I know is that I'd like to see a deal get done sooner rather than later because this Muschamp holding everyone hostage crap is bad business for us. I get he wants time to consider the best place possible for him professionally and for his family but we need a guy to be here to seal this up recruiting wise for 2015 because we have announcements coming up, and a dead period looming closer. I hope it's done by mid-week at the latest.

So if we get Foster, does this give us a chance at Josh Sweat?

This is why I don't feel the need to see a hire made public before the upcoming commitment dates. The silence leads me to believe something productive is happening. If he's truly our guy, we will know Dec 28th, the day after the Military Bowl.

Bud Foster is a Murray State Grad. I can't believe I didn't know that.

I think "he" is the poster on the VT board saying we are really close to getting Foster.

Yeah I figured that once I re-read the last few posts in this thread. It's all good in the hood

While not mutually exclusive its more important to get the DC hire right. Who knows how each recruit will really turn out.

Foster would be an absolute coup for us. May even experience a recruiting bump if recruits check out his history.

Of course, last time I got this excited about a potential coaching hire was Franchione....

If those reports are accurate, Muschamp isn't so much better than Foster that I see the need to wait on him at all.

At this I would mash accept for any top tier guy who is listening (Venables, Narduzzi) because getting a hire solidified now is important for recruiting.

Muschamp is a proven recruiter he would put us at Bama level recruiting.

Brent V is a hell of a recruiter too.

As far as I can see Foster isn't the recruiter that Muschamp is.

And Brent V is a great recruiter but he isn't half the coach that Muschamp is

My choice is Foster but I think Muschamp is a better choice overall. I believe Foster can recruit better under Sumlin.

247 posted that Sumlin has his man but they don't know who. Some of the posters are saying it's Venables and he will be announced tomorrow. Apparently, Foster is staying at VT with an extension and raise.
