I was a "lurker" for a couple of months and decided to jump in.
That is why I suggested the longer window of 6 month or a year as this is the off season (at least since spring games ended) and the real heat is during the live football season. Handles you may not have seen yet will suddenly appear this fall and team changes are not unusual in special cases. Look at all the changes to - even by and fans - when they were making the CWS run. While this may not ever happen on a non SEC board it is not unusual here.
It will all be good and having older posters is always a plus to add context and history to real discussions. Leave that old B12 prison mentality behind and enjoy your golden years here.

frankly the Mods might as well use LSU icons. I like the site but one thing that annoys me is how much more leeway LSU posters get than others, how quick they are to delete negative posts directed at LSU, and how quickly posters get banned for trolling LSU. This sort of favoritism holds back this site imo. I think that's is fine for TigerRant and their recruiting board. But they need a different set of mods for the SECR if they want it to truly represent the SEC. And I think doing that would make it grow more as well.
Thanks. This was helpful. I suppose it's been LSU's game on this site for a while. The dialogue is less constructive and more angry than TexAgs for sure. That's part of our new SEC experience. We'll just have fun and make the most of it. I prefer we didn't misrepresent ourselves. I just think a more straight up game would be fun. But, I'll learn to accept that some tsips are posing as Ags, because overall, this is fun. Can't wait for football to start though!!
BTW kids - 46 does not feel old at all. You'll see what I mean one day. It's more fun than you may think being this age.

Kaiser may not take the internet too seriously, but there is no doubt in my mind that he is an Ag (class of '99).
Since none of you posters have an Ag tag or stars next to your name besides myself, all of your arguments are invalid.

I don't know if you guys noticed KaiserSoze99, but he is trying his best to disparage Texas A&M. After seeing his posts, I had to read much of his history. It's making us look bad to the entire SEC rant and including props to TU along the way. It's also often and persistent. Just wondering if anything can be done about this.

Why am being lectured by an Ole Miss, Alabama, Kentucky, and a Missouri fan about misrepresentation of Texas A%M?
I like my Aggie frands. I don't think I lectured at all

I am new to this site and may ask a question or two about emoticons or uploading. But, I am certainly not new to representing Texas A&M University. We have a different standard. I expect as Aggies we do not dip too far below the level of appropriate behavior. We can enjoy the SEC without stooping to asinine behavior. If after a period of time, you boys think I'm a troll or misrepresenting Texas A&M University, I will voluntarily delete my account.
Everywhere we go we represent Texas A&M. Let's have fun, but let's do the right thing. That's one of the wonderful aspects of being an Aggie. I hope we can all keep that in mind.

While I get where you're coming from, you do understand that here, just like TexAgs, a certain level of, shall we say, shenanigans, are necessary to gain any sort of traction in a discussion. Lots of hyperbole, lots of gamesmanship. You have to be able to give as good as you get, because playing peacemaker is rarely going to work on here. Just the way it is. Everyone already has their preconceived notions about TAMU on this site. How you post isn't necessarily going to affect that (although to many posters' credit, they also understand that the posting styles of the people on here should not be misconstrued as representing an entire institution).
There's a balance between grounded and crazy in most regular posters' styles. Just takes a while to acclimate, then find yours

Yeah if I left as soon as someone called me a troll(I do NOT troll) I would have been gone long ago.

Who the hell would be confused enough to think that an anonymous poster on a fan site was officially representing the institution?
Posted on 7/28/13 at 6:22 pm to GandhiAggie
anyone who is a Texas fan should never have anything to do with A&M ever!
amirite?

You seem like kind of a bleeding twat. Please up your game or GTFO.
Based on your limited posts on this site, you seem better suited for Texags.
