So if the Ross statue is removed, can we start relentlessly protesting and vandalizing its replacement the second it is put up?

So "Jackie Gutierrez" wants to "throw away" anyone who disagrees with them? Is she advocating genocide? (See, I can go to extremes too)

The Texags politics board is an absolute shite show right now. Brandon needs to just lock it, he’s having to delete some pretty offensive shite at a remarkable pace.

Regardless of what you think of Mond, nobody in this fanbase should be saying the things that board is saying about him. True colors are shining through.

I haven't gone anywhere near the texags politics board in nearly 10 years. I feel I will lose all hope for humanity if I do.

Brandon’s tolerance is saintly right now. He’s putting up with many posters taking a giant dump on him, his employees and his business.

When someone who disagrees with you automatically labels anyone who has an opinion different from yours, as Kellen Mond has done, as racist, there's no point in attempting logic or reason. The only recourse left is to cut ties and disassociate.

According to Mond, everyone that falls into one or more of the following categories is now racist:

Any current or former student who wears the Aggie Ring. (Ross approved the design in 1894).

Any current or former Aggie Bandsman (The Fightin Texas Aggie Band started in 1894, while Ross was President).

Any current of former member of the Texas Governor's Honor Guard, the "Ross Volunteers".

Anyone who ever participated or was honored during Silver Taps (started under Ross).

Anyone who ever participated in Aggie Bonfire prior to the 1999 collapse. (1894-1999).

Anyone in the Singing Cadets (they're a bit strange anyway).

Any cadet who ever received a Sul Ross Scholarship.

As far as the texags Politics board, if that's what finally gets that shite site shut down:

Mond just retweeted a thing about defunding the corps. Texags would string him up if they could

That's a good way to be blacklisted throughout Texas and across every A&M club worldwide.

If he wants to go that route, he may as well transfer now.

I do not envy the type of calls BG Ramirez is receiving right now because of how stupid Mond is.

Current Cadets are REQUIRED to attend home games and former cadets make up the overwhelming majority of donors.

Not only that, but the Corps of Cadets Association is a private nonprofit that funds a lot of their activities and is not subject to University leadership.

someone tweeted a thing saying that over 90% of racial incidents were due to the corps and therefore we need to defund them and mond retweeted that

That may have been the case 30 years ago, but not when I went through (20 years ago) and I can't speak on behalf of TBird (10 years ago) or today's cadets.

My senior class only had one black cadet (my senior year roommate). His freshman year, he would only confide in black upperclassmen and we confronted him one day, asking him why he never hung around us. When he said, "you can't relate to me and how I grew up" our response was, "how can we if you never hang out with us or talk to us?" Over the next three years, as we got to know him, we clashed on some things. For example, the class after us had one black cadet, who my buddy attempted to "protect". Once we asked him "how is he going to get better if you hold him to a lower standard than you hold his classmates?" he went the other direction and we had to rein him in. When no one else wanted to be his roommate our senior year, I did so mainly because I wanted a corner room and thought I could live with anyone. It wasn't because he was black that they didn't want to live with him, it's because he was a bit weird (he is an Otaku, for those who know what that means and didn't like sports as well). His own parents thanked me for being his roommate even admitting how different he was than them (he didn't like football because the Lawrence Taylor/Joe Theismann hit traumatized him as a kid). He had a decent stint in the Air Force and makes a decent living with his family. We remain friends to this day and often I envy his indifference towards Aggie Athletics.

I'll contrast that with one of the cadets in the outfit in the same building as ours that was treated horribly by racist upperclassmen his freshman year and ended up being the Combined Band Commander and universally revered by upperclassmen, classmates and underclassmen by the time he was a junior. (His father was a Navy Captain)

I know my dad dealt with some overt racial shite in his Corps of Cadets ('79-'83). He's told me about it.

My Corps? '06-'10? Didnt experience a single instance of overt racism on or off the Quad. And I was in an interracial relationship with another cadet for half that time. Diversity was a key talking point, and honestly it seemed easier to get a Corps leadership position if one was minority or female. Of course, my outfit was diverse unto itself (my first two outfit commanders were females, and my class was half female, and had blacks, Asians, Hispanics, a lesbian, and even an Indian dude ). Not going to speak for every outfit, but my Corps experience was remarkably smooth, especially compared to my dad's.

You know as well as I do that fish year is all about us (fish class) vs. them (pissheads). The cadets that are "peered out" are the ones perceived as "holding us back". My zip year ol' lady wasn't one of those holding us back because he kept up with PT, didn't act like a spotlight ranger or a blue falcon, and kept his uniform and hole clean.

Of the 43 we started with, 20 marched 2nd Pass Final Review. One additional buddy physically couldn't because he was hit by a car and put into a coma our sophomore year so we carried him.
