Anyone still want to defend Mond and the others after that shite show today?

Check Brent Zwerneman's Twitter and texags. Basically went to tear down Sully and a small group of Ol Ags, including donors, stood in their way. One of the linebackers threatened to attack them. Mond basically said that we are all racist.

Now these shitheads are attempting to target and dox A&M donors including the head of the 12th Man Foundation.

How do you know they were going to tear it down?

He doesn't. Maybe they would have, maybe they wouldn't have. Nobody knows.
He's simply CNNing the story here.

I haven't watched the NBA since 2004 so no change for me.

shite at this point I’ll watch anything with a ball and a scoreboard

Don't blame you. 30 for 30 reruns and corn hole tournaments aren't exactly doing it for me either, but I'm weary of the political statements, causes, agendas, strife, anger, and this pc culture where only one side is allowed to have an opinion.

Can I talk you over from the dark side? Luka is the man. Be a Mavs fan.

Not trying to pick a fight (tone is hard to communicate via text so hopefully you'll hear this in the right way). Just bringing up a point: you want two sides to be able to express an opinion per your comment, but in the same comment it bothers you when the side seemingly opposite of you can express their opinion?

Indeed. Already a huge fan of Luka Šamanic. And everyone looks better in a dark jersey!

That wasn't his point. The rub happens when only left of center special interests will be supported. I can guarantee you we're not gonna see any pro-life or pro-2nd amendment stuff.

I stopped watching after the Ron Artest incident where he jumped into the stands to attack a fan.
My interest in the NBA began to wane in the late 90's. You see, I was living in Orlando when the Magic first arrived. After the last original member of the team (Nick Anderson) was traded to Sacramento, I began to lose interest. When they formed a team which won on sheer effort over more talented teams (Darrell Armstrong, Pat Garrity, Michael Doleac, Ben Wallace, etc) I was interested again. Then they sold it all for McGrady, Hill and a failed attempt at Tim Duncan.
The Magic's original point guard still holds the NBA single game record for most assists. (30)
After the Artest incident though, I lost all interest.

I get the rub. I just think it's a better approach to say "hey use your platform to say what you think" and also encourage those who align ideologically to use their platform to speak. Like, I think it's fine that the FB players were at Sully protesting and I think it's fine that people are there and want it to stay. I think it's fine that NBA players can make statements. But maybe you're right that the NBA would only support left of center stuff. But that indicates a loss of (pop) culture war. How do you fight back against that shift? Can it be fought back against?
