If we lose to New Mexico, is Sumlin fired that night?

If we're behind at the half, he should spend the second half of the game, packing his shite.

This. Since its obvious they're not getting rid of him during the season, I want his shite packed and out of his office the morning after LSU.

What happens if we get Texas in the Texas bowl and win?

This would be the most Aggy thing ever. Beat LSU and Texas and get another year in Cstat.

Liucci just emphatically said he's gone regardless without any qualifiers. The decision has already been made.

I'm hearing that among the players it's the worst kept secret and everyone knows they're playing their last game for him. The buyout was negotiated last week if you believe the rumors.

Also in case anyone is wondering, I can confirm Nick Harvey and Donovan Wilson intend to return for their RS-senior seasons next year. Also hearing Kirk was considering staying but likely won't with the coaching change.

I love how we all speak in absolutes like this. You buddies with Kirk? Did you ask him what he thinks of Jimbo?

Wasn't he recently quoted saying that Sumlin is the only coach he would play for? Pretty sure this was in an ESPN article.

Regardless of who our coach is next year, Kirk would be foolish to stay.

I would have guessed there was less than a 10% chance that he stayed to begin with even with Sumlin staying, but if he really is considering staying, he would be foolish to not wait and at least meet the new coach before making a decision.

Personally, if I put out feelers and get the general consensus that I would be a first round draft pick I would be gone.

Depends on his draft stock. He's had a down year. If scouts and his future agent think he'll be a mid 2nd then it may be worth it to come back. But then again you get to contract #2 quicker if you're not a first rounder.

"but I'll personally say that there's not another college football coach that I'd rather play for in the whole entire country"

It wasn't an absolute statement.

Gotcha. That is different. So he might stay, but I seriously doubt it.

kirk is all class. he was likely just saying that to stick up for his coach whose imminent firing is the worst kept secret in CFB. i wouldnt take those words as an inevitable declaration for the draft just yet.

Like Sumlin said, he’d hope so, he was recruited by literally everyone and he chose A&M.
