We aren't joining their conference, so they can't control us like they used to.
No, thank God.
But they can still pull a 90s LSU and leave us high and dry.
I'm just loathe to do business with them. At least when it comes to athletics.

My dog just died tonight. Just a sudden thing.
Makes me appreciate all the games she watched with me.

That base is covered with LSU. #GulfWar

playing an awesome road game every other year that's only 90 miles away from B/CS?
A reduction in the number of trips I take to austin in this lifetime is an automatic win

getting all that national exposure from an OOC game for once?
Plenty of high profile OOC schools we can schedule. Have enjoyed playing ASU and UCLA. Would love to share a home and home vs. Michigan. Etc.

making Thanksgiving important again?
Love watching TAMU play on Thanksgiving. What's important is watching US play, not our opponent.

more importantly, getting a chance to beat texas?
In the postseason. All in good time.

LSU is a very natural rival
You don't think LSU on thanksgiving is important?
Yep, we got zero national exposure playing UCLA and no one will care about us playing Clemson

We are a school rooted in tradition. We take great pride in that. This game was a Thanksgiving tradition. Bring. It. Back.

So I'm bringing my new lady friend to the USC Aggy game this weekend. We are gonna drive down from Dallas early Saturday morning and get some Layne's for lunch. I'm working on figuring out a tailgating situation. Midnight yell will be saved for next time since we can't make it out tomorrow night. Other than yell, what are the must see's for her first time in Aggieland?
Assuming we win, we will go watch the yell leaders get thrown into the fountain and probably go to Northgate for a bit.
We probably won't go to the Bonfire memorial just because we don't have a ton of time in town and I'd rather tailgate this time. I'll save that one for another game.
Any ideas?

Wake Me Up
Sunrise Bomb at Sake Bar
Chugger at Logan's (Refuse to say Logie's)
Pitcher and dominoes at the Chicken early on. Should make for a great day.
ETA: Corps march in is normally cool to see for the first time, and it wouldn't take a lot of effort to see and get back to the tailgate.

We'd always just wake up, start drinking, go to potato shack, go to the game, continue drinking

I would take her somewhere decent for lunch(better than Layne's) then hit up NG for drinking and watching other games. Hit up a tailgate or two. No need to make her drink the koolaid and go overly Aggy.

Layne's? They're alright, but personally they're more of an acquired taste

I appreciate the offer but I've got my seats for this one
I'm disappointed at all this Laynes hate. It is a Cstat staple and so much better than trashy Canes.
March in is a definite must see.
I usually avoid NG before games and just hang around Spence park or other tailgating areas.
