Harmon out too.

Aside from any passes to Jalen Preston, Johnson has looked really good. King has too.

Looks like first team offense against first team defense. The maroon secondary is simply depleted

This is drastically different from the 2021 Spring Game. Then both QBs looked terrible. Now they all look decent except for some mistakes.

Spring game, defense looking pretty good.
Receivers need to play a little better and get some separation.

Edit: Yeah QBs and receivers need a lot of work.

Perfect quote from texags: "Jalen Preston makes getting open easy, but he makes catching the ball look impossible"

Preston is responsible for at least 10 of the drops/incompletions. One of the passes he did catch he fumbled into the hands of a DB.

Evan Stewart was good. The entire White defense was great. Adeleye, Anderson, and Harris all looked great on the white team. Only decent RB was Daniels, which isn't much of a surprise

Preston cannot catch a cold. As for the QB's, I actually think we should go all in on Weigman this Fall. He throws a much better ball with better placement than the other two, especially in adverse conditions.

Missing tons of players on the Maroon defense, but Lucas looked great!

Crownover looked better than Daniels today.

It also pushes Jimbo's timeline to win the SECW another two years while we have to wait for CW to develop.

I thought Daniels showed a lot more burst and can be ok in a role splitting non-Achane carries with LJ and Ainias

Daniels definitely has some promise. I feel like we haven’t really seen more than two backs get a significant split of carries since Jimbo has been here. Wonder if that changes this year

I think a couple things will decide this. Devon not being built like a prototypical lead back makes it more likely we see a 3rd back a decent amount of carries. Trayveon wasn't a big guy either and still averaged over 20 attempts per game (80% of all RB carries), but I doubt Achane gets that same share of carries.

This is also potentially the deepest RB rotation we've had under Jimbo, even if the overall strength of the RB room probably takes a step back from last year.

2018: All Trayveon with a FR Jashaun Corbin and walkon Kwame Etwi behind him.

2019: Corbin hurt game one. Spiller gets all the significant carries, with SO Cordarrian Richardson and SO Jacob Kibodi behind him. Depth so bad that Ainias Smith gets moved to RB for bowl game.

2020: Spiller again with a heavy workload. Achane becomes first #2 back that is clearly capable of being a #1. No one else to challenge for carries.

2021: See 2020

2022: Achane clear #1. Two potential #2 in SO LJ Johnson and SO Amari Daniels. FR Leveon Moss probably headed for a redshirt.

Haven't seen enough from LJ or Amari to say if either warrants 5-10 carries per game in SEC play. Maybe both are good enough, maybe neither is. And how good is Leveon Moss? Him not being here for spring football probably means he's an injury away from seeing much PT.

Johnson played in 3 games so he is still a Redshirt Freshman. Daniels played in 5.

I remember the first couple games thinking he wasn't gonna be very good. Dude turned in to an absolute baller
