Quick thoughts on the first game.
1) 14Ks/1BB from our pitching staff. Good to see them filling up the zone and getting swings and misses.
2) Just the one throwing error by Kolek from the defense. Several really good plays and all the routine ones. That's encouraging early on.
3) Janca strikes out 3 times. I've got faith in him but it's tough to see that kid start slow again. The approach was good, he just wasn't seeing the ball well at all.

And hey, we get it, everyone likes getting stuff for free, I do too. But tell the folks at Tiger Droppings - the scores don't update themselves, believe it or not. It's a lot of work and it costs money. We have a staffer whose only job is updating scores, all season, every day.

Yep, there's more than one way to suck and they aren't all created equal. At times, Logan Foster sucked last year because he constantly swung at bad pitches and expanded the zone. That's not what Janca was doing yesterday.
