All schools have idiots that tweet at recruits. Naturally we are the only school that the recruit gets salty and retweets every single one of them lol.

I kind of agree with what he said but you can't put it out there when you're in his position. I think most of us knew Martell and Netherly were gone anyways, but this just piles on the negativity

Recruiting-wise the environment around A&M was already pretty toxic. I don't see how this really makes it worse, if anything it's kinda nice that they decommitted now so we can start really evaluating rough diamonds and discover whatever three star we will actually sign. Last minute decommits are the worst.

It makes it worse in the sense that the reputation of college station has drastically changed in the last 3 years. Even if what Moorehead said was correct, he has to understand the need to relate to recruits.
The biggest issue here IMO though is Martell. I called him a diva earlier in this thread and it still applies. He got mad every time A&M even looked at another QB, and now decommits to leave y'all out to dry. It's why you can't alter your recruiting for one kid.

The negative press is really bad, but if we somehow land Kellen Mond I like him better than Martell for us

I wanted Martell gone months ago. So fricking tired of diva recruits. Just glad it happened now and not later. This story will blow over in a week or so and we will move on. Just win this year and none of this offseason bullshite matters. No melt required, but melt we shall anyway
