Where did that comment come from?
I'm gonna guess OU sold players on playing for a team that was in the playoffs last year, with pretty good tradition. The Big 12 blows, but there are still desirable programs in that conference.

The word is that Stoops basically explained that in the sec he would do much more run defending than pass rushing and that with his size this would be very difficult and his best shot at the NFL would to be to focus soley on becoming an elite outside pass rusher, something A&M doesn't need or want to dedicate a scholarship to.

If Sumlin can't recruit, what the hell is he good for? Certainly not coaching

We certainly are missing out on a few we'd like to have
But everybody not named Bama does

That and I think it was more they sold him on being a pass rushing OLB vs playing with his hand in the dirt for us

Right. He sold him on being the Eric Striker type linebacker. Pretty similar size, and Striker had incredible success at OU.
I'm sure Kyler didn't help things, but I can see the reason Jackson would want to play for that terrible school up in Norman.

Sumlin's tenure beyond 2016 will be based on his coaching ability.
In other words, he fricked.

I'm gonna guess we never had a chance, but the talking heads told everyone we were a shoo-in.

Sounds like Pennamon is picking Bama.
At this point, best to just let the dumpster fire burn.

And Chris Daniels is picking Texas.
An SEC West team is about to sign three defensive front seven players in an entire class. That's losing to Vanderbilt levels of awful.

The only silver lining I see in this is that, without the ability to roast Kevin Sumlin, the fanbase will collectively turn on Pubes and Hamm and vicariously blame them for this if there is ANY sunshine pumping taking place on Wednesday.
