He's big but doesn't have quite the size or raw speed of Chevis. However he looks natural and polished in the middle. Not elite anything but he's strong at point of attack and seems to effortlessly shed blocks. It appears Snyder wants a B1G type Mike. I don't know it, but my guess is Durham is a straight A type of student and a class guy off the field too.
The Mike is the defensive QB and it's important he's a leader. I'm scared by the lack of burst Snyder goes after, but the truth is, when you watch MSU (Snyder was the LB coach under Dantonio) or OSU or even ND over the last 10 years, this is the kind of Mike they put out there. And it works.
Snyder came up as a coach in the B1G. As did Hagen. Sumlin played MLB there. I'm going to trust they know what they are looking for because those schools constantly take guys like this and have good defenses.
The good thing is, unlike Mastro, Durham will likely get a chance to redshirt and learn the defense. And begin dealing with true maulers you see in the SEC instead of 240lb OGs in HS.

How many more OL do you think we take? Looking at our offers it looks like everything is pretty much done with that group unless someone like Weathersby opened things up. I haven't heard Connor Dyer's name in forever.

we're no longer recruiting him. I think he just didn't have that great of a season and we found guys we liked better. That happens and it's why the Urquidez non-offer is totally not a big deal.

if we offer, he'll get on board. But it appears he's not going to camp and play OL for us so he probably won't get an offer. Shame really but it's not like we're hurting for OL

we aren't necessarily. We just are full at DT barring unforeseen circumstances so if he wants to come to A&M, he needs to get an OL offer.
