That La Tech games was fricking awful, I forgot about that. Patton dunked his nuts on our secondary's collective foreheads over and over.

What was crazy about that game is we were up huge until the pace found our depleted defense. Iirc we were missing a few starters for that game

I remember the refs being terrible. You couldn't look at Patton funny without getting a flag.

I am not the biggest JFF fan, but the play (that didn't end up counting) where he fumbled/threw an interception and he ran down the guy and forced a fumble was one of the best individual plays I've ever seen.

That was incredible and every bit a heisman moment as the Bama TD

Johnny refused to give up on that play.

They had a short pick 6 where Johnny was face masked in the endzone as he was letting it go.

If that gets called it's possible they never get closer than 8 points in the 4th.

Hasn't looked like a pro sense then.

I hope the cycle of our defense making second tier QB's and WR's look all pro is finally over.

Top to bottom, this is by far the most talented roster of the Sumlin era. It's going to go as far as QB play takes it

i've only been an aggie fan since 2012 (was weird as hell pulling for a&m in 2012), but i remember looking at the depth and recruiting on defense at the time and thinking wtf.

easily the most talented roster sumlin has had. also very young.

From Texags interview w/ Deontay Anderson (he was at the scrimmage):

quote:

"I was a little surprised at how much better the defense looked," Anderson said. "They look a lot better than last season and when I've seen them practice in the past. They've got some good talent too, and I think they're going to be pretty good this year. I liked the way they were playing."
