Had a friend play for Augie at CSF and he always marvels at how big the parks are in Texas and that they probably had 1k capacity max. So I decided to look it up. Wiki shows your 4k but their athletic site shows 3500. Probably a seat/SRO difference
quote:

A larger-scale, $3 million project was completed just before opening day in 2001, when the stadium's seating capacity was expanded from 1,750 to nearly 3,500

Also apparently they never hosted a regional prior to that expansion. Crazy for how many times they've been to the CWS over the years. Road warriors

Dunno about that, but there was a video several years ago... oh! Here it is. This is brilliant.

ETA: This is a pretty good Southpark rendition.

So for those that were following the '09 team, do you think they were better than this one? Obviously this season isn't close to over, but I'm just curious on initial thoughts?

Not true. He was out best home run hitter last year.

Larkin picking off where he left off and not in a good way.

he's super streaky. When he was hot early last year he was a monster. He's just got such an elongated swing it's very difficult to be in the zone.

We definitely need to figure something out on the corners. Hinsley has been pretty awful and we've even tried McClendon at 3rd.

Excellent play blake. And good job by larkins to battle out of that inning.

Turner is getting some good experience here and having to learn how to pitch when his control is off. But we really could have used him going deep given the Thu-Sat schedule this week.
