So he is staying per Sumlin?

On this rocky dynamic between Kevin Murray and Kevin Sumlin.
Since Kyle Allen is now gone, the problem must not really be the prospect of playing time. Kyler will get the opportunity to play.
For the Murrays to be mulling a transfer, it is likely due to general dissatisfaction with the offense. Heck, this board has been complaining about the offense, too, right?
So I suspect this transfer question probably won't be fully resolved until after the bowl game. If there is a new OC that Murray is on board with, then this problem goes away. If not, he goes. Spavital vowing to change the offense may not be deemed credible, disqualifying it as an option.
Sumlin seems to be a stubborn man. He may not be happy about a player's dad trying to force a change in his program. Few coaches would. But something is wrong with the offense. So I can see why Murray would have concerns.

Any option involving Spavital staying should not be an option. He now has ruined 4 starting quarterbacks at 2 different schools.

It's been rumored, and again I say rumored, on other sites that most of the players didn't like Murray and most of them feel separated from Sumlin. The only thing keeping the offensive players together is them liking Spavital. If Sumlin gives in to the little Titty Baby and makes the change he demands, there's a good chance you win Titty Baby back but you poison the rest of your locker room. If the rumors are true, its a double edged sword. Lose a 5* legacy + fanbase or lose your locker room?
Personally, I still stand behind the statement that a program is bigger than one player. It stood true with Malik Jefferson and its still true with Titty Baby. If Sumlin thinks keeping Spav in some capacity is the best move going forward, then let him do it...but let it be known that he better perform next year or we'll get Terrance Murphy to personally get the most value out of his current home (Because apperently, while other schools were busy shaping great future NFL players, A&M was busy shaping up the very best insurance salesmen and real estate agents)

I'm sure the defensive players liked Snyder too. Didn't make him suck any less.

It feels like this is going to pass

you are really reaching now.
So Geno Smith, Kenny Hill, and Kyle Allen didn't fall apart after the 5th game of their seasons with him as QB coach?
Johnny Manziel didn't fall apart immediately after the bowl game?

No, Geno Smith didnt fall apart you intellectually dishonest arse. That WVU team had a horrid defense and it caught up to them multiple times. Spav wasn't even the OC for that WVU team.
Kenny Hill was a friggin drunk that the entire team quite on and he was wildly inaccurate on throws that were longer than 15 yards form the get go. That wasn't something that just suddenly appeared. Nobody messed up his Aggie career him but himself.
Kyle Allen straight up got hurt and you damn well know that. GTFO saying he was ruined. Kid was balling before he was hurt and once that happened he wasn't the same.
and WTF are you talking about Johnny falling apart after the bowl game? Which one? Cotton? Peach? Are you really trying to say Johnny played poorly in 2013 when we had one of the worst defenses ever at A&M? Are you blaming Spav for him trying to play with a fricked up thumb against Mizzou and LSU? Really?
You don't have to make shite up to get people to dislike Spav.

Anyone with a half functioning brain knows that Kyler Murray should have been redshirted. And the truth about Kenny Hill will surface some day.
Geno Smith, Kenny Hill, Kyle Allen, and now Kyler Myrray. That's four.

You're using Manziel as an example?

One good thing about all this is we get resolution today. If Kyler is out at practice it's over. Sumlin expects him back today.
Posted on 12/17/15 at 2:33 pm to cardboardboxer
He is not at practice, per TA poster.

Bye Kyler. If I was Sumlin, I'd announce today that he's been suspended for the bowl game for missing two practices in a row for non-health related reasons and let the chips fall where they may.
Jake Hubenak is practicing right now. If you let Kyler back, you're effectively telling Jake that he's our last choice and we're sitting waiting on pins and needles for Kyler to choose us. Screw that.

Agreed. It's over, move on.
