Lord knows we will take any extra body we can find that can play linebacker now.
I don't think he's just an extra body. Skills wise he reminds me a lot of Chris Weathered who much like Kamara was inexplicably under-utilized. Weathered was more suited to a 3-4 but not getting him on the field more was inexcusable. He had talent to spare as a pass rusher yet sat on the bench all too often. I think this guy will do well here in Pruitt's system.

Thanks hombre. Wifey has obviously not been a happy camper this year on the football front. Gotta at least pretend like I give a shite about who you guys sign.
I do think that QB looks to be a little better than his rating. Dunno anything about what Helton wants to do offensively there at UT, but assuming he picked someone that fit his scheme.
I agree, Feb should be a good time for you... Pruitt with time will be able to put some talent together. Maybe not from the state of Georgia with regularity... but I'd be fine if you start fricking over Clemson's classes in the future

I'll just take Peterson and Walker this year,
Walker not signing yesterday with you or Bama yesterday was a surprise.
Word is that Kirby tried to get him signed yesterday, but his HS coach convinced him to wait till February. Supposedly has a good relationship with Pruitt and Sherrer, and we're gonna take a swing at him.
Although Walker may still sign with Georgia today or Tomorrow. We'll see.

Now 26th, with 9-11 spots left. Not bad.

Fine by me... make sure Pruitt asked permission from Nick.

In all seriousness, I really don't think we sign him. I'll be happy to be wrong, but I assume he ends up at Bama... *maybe* UT but doubtful.

Pruitt told Saban to suck his dick, Aight.

recruiting is looking GREAT considering all. By feb we should be in the top 20, and that is amazing for such a short time with a new coach. The 2019 class will define pruitt and his legacy at tn.

We should kill it in 2019 and 2020 recruiting. We've been offering so many kids. I don't ever remember us offering that many kids from future classes under Butch

Pruitt will actually recruit kids that work in his system as well.

It is also nice having the added benefit of HS football in the state of Tennessee exploding, unlike most areas in the US. Despite the ignorance you may see on tRant about the subject, Tennessee is no longer a state to scoff at when it comes to producing blue chip players. It’s not Florida, Louisiana or Texas good, but most program’s in America would kill to have UT’s recruiting base.

Tennessee has produced more blue chip talent than Louisiana the past few years, and looks to be doing so for years to come.
After Georgia, Florida, Texas, and California, Tennessee is as bountiful as any state.

I'll give Butch credit for something, he taught me that this isn't an assumption you can automatically make

Peterson finna help us land Quay Walker too, that'll be 3 Bama targets we've taken from them

Bama might not have room for Copeland, too. If we get those two and pull Griffin away from USC then I’ll expect top 5 classes from here on out.

If we end up with Copeland, Walker, and Griffin people are going to lose their minds.

What about Taylor-Stuart? Anyone heard anything more on him? Last I saw, he changed up his visits and was dropping the UGA visit this weekend and going to Bama instead; but is coming to God's Country the last weekend before NSD. Defensive roster does a 180 with a quickness if we can add him to the mix of Peterson, Griffin, and Walker

Tyson Campbell visiting this weekend, outta nowhere
Posted on 1/26/18 at 1:10 pm to Vols&Shaft83
can someone please tell Pruitt that he has no chance to land any of these recruits and that he is guaranteed to fail as a head coach?
at least that is what tRant's posters have assured me.

How many spots do we have? 8? So we get 8 5/4* guys? It's like every time I hear something it's about a top 200 prospect.
