It’s between bama & Texas. Both teams needed a rebound. Ga is still in the drivers seat

Georgia - embarrassing but recoverable
Bama - worst because “Bama slipping” narrative
Texas - bad. Texas still “not back”
Mizzou - who cares
State - see above
Vandy - welcome back to being Vandy

This comment is exactly my point. You are ready to can a coach and a decent QB because they have lost two games.
Newsflash. There is NFL level football going on in this league. On almost all teams.
This league is NFL lite. You don’t see NFL teams never losing games. It’s just not a thing.
But yet that’s your expectation. Not because it’s reasonable because of your hubris.
Texas can still win the SEC if some games fall your way. But you expect to control the league so that’s not necessary or to win every game so it’s not necessary.
That’s not the world you live in anymore.
I don't agree with it, but I think that's part of why they're pushing for a 24-team playoff.
In a conference like the SEC, where you're facing some of the best teams in the country week after week, two or even three losses shouldn't automatically eliminate you from competing for a national championship.
At some point, it has to be about more than just your overall record. Who did you play? Who did you beat? Who did you lose to? And how competitive were you in those losses?
Is a 10-2 SEC team that played a brutal schedule really less deserving than an 11-1 team that played a much weaker one?
The problem is that we've conditioned fans to believe a loss means failure, when the reality is that the level of competition in the SEC makes going undefeated increasingly unrealistic.
I'm not convinced expanding to 24 teams is the answer, but I do think strength of schedule and quality of competition should carry a hell of a lot more weight than simply counting losses.

The SEC had the worst weekend

The answer has to be Alabama.
Losing a close one to Georgia kept the hope alive. SECG rematch. Team fired up. Playoffs. Russel still in the Heisman race.
Getting spanked by a mediocre Tennessee team has turned all of that fire towards DeBoer and when he can be let go.
They are in shambles and they look likely to lose 2-3 more.

Bama
They're season is done. They've literally eliminated themselves.

I wish I didn't know how you feel. I have never been as confused about a Florida squad than I have this year's team.
The league is definitely screwing itself over this year. Then again, what the rest of the league feels this year is what Florida and some others like Oklahoma have dealt with the last two years with these brutal schedules. Some of ya'll lucked out the last couple years IMO. People keep thinking SEC 3 loss teams will get some type of benefit of the doubt vs 1-2 loss teams in other conferences and it simply won't happen. Hopefully whoever survives is healthy enough to not shite the bed in the playoffs vs fresher squads.

Alabama; got physically destroyed in all phases of the game!
It’s been a long time since I’ve seen an Alabama team man handled like that.
You hate to see it, but you love to see it.

Tennessee man handled you yesterday like a rag doll!
If Tennessee offense converts in the first half that game is way worse!

TX because Arch has only looked good against Texas State this season.

I'd say the Texas fans who hadn't yet figured out that Sark was a fraud. They are not having a good weekend.

This one. Sark must go. At least on the others, it's the first offense.

Georgia fans.
They didnt get a bama fan placed on death row. Then they had to watch their team cheap shot the barners into a loss.

A&M. Learned that we have a more accurate QB sitting on the bench because Elko is a stubborn, fat PoS

I would argue the folks who had the worst weekend are all the fans of "blue blood" programs who hadn't yet realized the extent of the sea change in CFB.
Semipro players, transfer portal free agency, and consolidation of brands into a de facto super conference means the 10-win seasons of yesteryear where yall watched your big name team beat up on schools with a fraction of your resources for most of the season, and then play 1 or 2 big games against peer programs are gone forever.
Going to be a big adjustment for yall to come around to the reality that 8-9 wins is a successful season in today's SEC. Especially for OU and TX since theyre only 2 years removed from playing most of their schedule against teams like Houston and Baylor. Much more rapid realization from them.
