Why would the first white player at Oklahoma…coincidentally also the first football player at Oklahoma, be honored? Which of the first team would be the first player? The honor is about being the first to break a barrier….if there were such a barrier against white people the first to break it would be honored and rightfully so….those barriers are non existent.

He would also be the first trans QB at Grambling.

That’s what I’m talking about.

So fricking old using that.

Racists this Racist that.

What I said is true if any entity celebrated anything to do with the white race it would be considered racism. You know it, I know it.

You have absolutely no concept of context or logic.

Prentice Gautt broke the color barrier at OU.

No white players broke any color barriers, because there were no barriers to break.

Let me know the next time a white person breaks a barrier designed specifically to be a white person barrier and I will celebrate with you.

Doesn’t bother me. Just pointing it out that it’s cringy and doesn’t belong in this league. Don’t expect Aggie to understand.

You be a 2 faced idiot seems it do bother you

Well, I for one, am glad to see that the Oklahoma Sooners believe in Unity, because I was really worried about that, and I know I’m not alone.

Most of us OU fans hate the uniforms.
The local media here hate it.

It’s rather grotesque.

Thank you for an honest opinion

Whoever made that decision should be fired

Christianity was created by Roman politicians in 325 AD to create a more cohesive society amongst its citizens. Institutionalized religion was not something that Jesus was a fan of.

Lost in all this is...

Not only was Prentice Gautt the first Black player at OU... at a time when it was still illegal for Black people to be in Norman overnight.

After his pro career... He went back to get his PhD and ended up working at the University of Missouri. I think he was an assistant AD for a while and also taught there.

He passed away a while back... and so they have decided to honor him by doing these uniforms.
