UGA isn't very good.
But will they get torched in the playoff?
They beat the #7 team by 8 and lost to the #10 team by 3 during the season. That kind of suggests they're on par with most of the teams that would be in the playoff.
It may be accurate that UGA isn't very good but they can still barely win against the other teams they'll play in the post season. You don't need to be the best team of all time to win a playoff... you just have to be better than each team you face in your playoff run on that day.

They grind. This is certainly not the best team Georgia has had but they play til the last second.

Texas also lost to OSU by 7 and is the only ranked team OSU has played.
UGA is likely not as good as they have been in other seasons under Smart. But compared to the other teams at the top of college football... they're on par with the best this year.
You may no think UGA looks like a top 10 team... but there aren't 10 teams out there who look better this year... which makes them a top 10 team.

That game was just an extension of Charlotte. GT couldn’t even score a TD, so why be anything other than vanilla on offense? Less film and less injuries was the goal.
