How big a campground is it, really?
Are the spots first come first serve?
Or do you have to pay for your place to put your tent up?
Are there more “prime” spots for one’s tent set up? Do they cost more?

I remember the first time I saw it I had the same "wait, that's it?" moment.

Yes it’s a bunch of tents. There is a “tent run” on Fridays .. don’t think you’re ever guaranteed a spot.
And not everywhere has chandeliers etc. some very normal tailgates with a tent, ice chest and food.
It’s very concentrated in two areas — the grove and the circle. It’s not spread out like we are all over campus.
Different from what we do and it gave me anxiety the couple of times that we’ve been.
A lot of tent companies in Oxford and that’s how many do it. There are some individuals who will do their own tent .. and let me tell you they’re close close close together.

I’ve never understood the fascination with the grove. Every campus has tents under oak trees for tailgating. At least at State you can cook/ grill instead of having cold chicken tenders.
