I'm an LSU fan, so I'm not familiar with the process that went into selecting this guy. I see Marcel Reed, who was a Heisman candidate last year, taking the blame for poor play more often than not.
It seems like the OC is a first-time play caller who was promoted from wide receiver coach. Was this guy promoted to keep a bunch of recruits on board or something? Seems like there could have been candidates who are more proven.

He is, for fellow SEC defenses.

Wiggins isn't an OC; he is a bagman who fell upward throughout his career, and now, with NIL, his particular skill set matters less.
For some reason, Elkop decided he is a great option to promote from within as OC, which he has never done before, instead of finding a real one.

Basically. At Bama he was an ok WR coach and good recruiter before we went to aTm. But there's no way he should be an OC, especially at a place like aTm.

Two things can be true at one time.

No touchdowns today, no running game and no QB…
Elko could fire Wiggins mid season and buy himself a mulligan this season

Collin Klein is why, they looked good last year, and Elko thought Wiggins would continue with the scheme. But he is trying to introduce his own version of it, which really looks bad now.

Guys were wide open all game. Reed just can’t get them the ball. But yeah the OC hire wasn’t strong either.

Black coaches often fail at this level.

That OC is still better than ours.
