LSU actually won a National Championship when they only matched the top 2 teams.
LSU had 2 loses that year.
Point being, at some point, there may be a case to be made for a 3 loss team being in the top 12.
In this case, I don’t believe tu should qualify

None of what happened last night, or any game when we play coaches like kirby, is their fault. Our head coach wants to spend all day in a lab designing brilliant plays to show everyone how smart he is and can’t be bothered with small things like attention to detail.

We are one of about a half dozen very good football teams this year, any of which could conceivably beat any of the others on a given day.

Of course he does. He knows there’s a good chance osu would be matched up with Texas again and that’s basically a bye week for a coach like day.

Yeah I'm dismissing it. Who exactly has Notre Dame been destroying? They front loaded their schedule and got beat by the best teams they played. They are however the best team Aggie has played.

Are you saying it’s 100% impossible for Texas to make the playoffs? I would disagree. If Texas goes and beats ark and atm by 50 that’s a pretty big lasting impression and tbh we can control that.
That enough IF the committee values blowing out atm could get them the 11 spot even over OU and Vandy.
I do think this committee isn’t going to care about a week 1 loss to osu if Texas beats a number 1 atm.

Honestly if you beat A&M by 50 I think they would chalk it up to the them not playing anyone narrative more than the see Texas IS good narrative. Your Florida loss and the fact Georgia smoked you are your defining moments. Sure, mathematically Texas is alive, but it ain't happening.

I agree it’s not happening. Close loss to UGA and beating atm and ark was possible, collapse in the 4th quarter sealed no playoffs this year

Honestly I rather have a player still believe they have a shot of making the playoffs instead of just giving up on the season and phone it in.
