For always doing things the right way and having some moral standards in this sketchy college football landscape. But at some point you have to realize you’re fighting a losing battle and embarrassing yourself. Probably time for him to retire.

It’s not that he couldn’t, it’s that he wouldn’t. Hiring Chad Morris as OC is another prime example - he thinks he can still win doing things he did ten years ago. You can’t even win doing the same thing you did five years ago.

Hard to blame him too much for not adapting. It's gotta be hard to watch the game you've loved your whole life disappear before your eyes especially as a coach.
