I think a ton of bama fans were secretly jealous of kiffin going to lsu a month ago, way more than would admit it. I dont think theres a lot of bama fans that would be thrilled rn if lane somehow became the coach.

I respect Lane, but I don’t want him as head coach at Bama. I was relieved he wasn’t in the discussion for it before DeBoer was hired…based on some stuff when he was in T town on our staff years ago, I just don’t think it would have been a good fit. He can make LSU work and I wish him success and hope he makes them competitive. I miss the epic LSU Bama games.

Kiffin was never even considered for the Alabama job. If Alabama wanted him, they could have had him instead of DeBoer.
I'd straight up melt if Alabama hired him. He's a great OC and offensive mind but left unchecked he is a cancer off the field. On the field his defenses are always bad, and he makes really shitty game day decisions.
Against top25 teams he has a 37% win rate while coaching at Tennessee, USC, FAU and Ole Miss.
If you want hype and drama instead of results, Kiffin is your man.
