Imagine if they had shown where there was clear evidence to overturn the interception? Imagine they had used the same metric they did to call PI on Bama? That’s two chunks of yards, possession time, and most importantly at least two manageable fg opportunities to even the stats and more than even the score out.

I”ll say it again, I’m not big on blaming the refs. I get sick of hearing it too, but those two missed calls were pretty egregious.

This is the appropriate take. A multi-billion dollar industry is hiring part time contractors $2-$5K/game to officiate a sporting event watched by tens of millions of people every Saturday. Revenues have soared, they refuse to invest in a critical element of the game, and the product on the field shows it.

I’ve got some bad news for you. I was there in 1999. That was the most one sided called game I’ve ever seen in Oxford. They called holding and pass interference over and over against Ole Miss. Alabama tackled one receiver while the ball was in the air. And the holds were over and over to stop our line. But never called. 2002 was even worse. But didnt matter in the end. I’ve even watched them move a spot to give a first down in Tuscaloosa. Not your fault but this has been going on for decades. Not years.

This time you ended up on the wrong side. But traditionally Bama has gotten the calls. So live with it. We all had to.

SEC officials aren't good.

But if you watch the other conferences or see their refs during bowl games, you realize the SEC refs are actually better than the refs from other conferences.

It's sad.

It's unknowable to say what would have happened after a missed call unless it negates a score on the last play of a game, what we do know is UGA won 20-17.

LSU-Kentucky finds your complaints about the officiating amusing.

That long run by bama that set up their first score, was a blatant hold right at the point of attack, without it there is no hole and no gain.

If MLB can have replay for balls and strikes, the NCAA should be able to figure out how to use reply for PI and facemask. Give each team a couple of challenges a game. The Alabama ball carrier with the hand clearly grabbing the face mask and the the helmet coming off should be able to easily be corrected on replay.

Everyone has been complaining about this for years. But, as long as they don't favor one over the other, it usually works out. These athletes move so fast I don't think they miss on purpose. I just don't want more replays but maybe the answer is more on the field officials but please God, not more replays. I assume the biggest miss was the pretty obvious pass interference on Georgia in the endzone.

I’m loving the fact that alabama fans are living the hell that the rest of the sec had to live for decades as they watched bama receive favorable calls and non-calls. Glorious …..

I’m not exaggerating when I say Alabama could have legitimately had 5-6 holding calls, a few on their biggest plays of the game. Just be careful what you wish for

Then stop with the chronic vaginosis and quit blaming them. The OP has a ball sack and a brain and I respect him, follow his lead.

Not much sense in bitching about holding. If they called it by the rule book the games would last 10 hours they could call it every play literally. Only way to fix that is go back to where you cant use your hands to block anymore.

I can even see officials missing calls in real time, But we have replay. Ryan Williams has a concussion from helmet to helmet. That didnt happen spontaneously, It was targeting, no call.

Isaiah Crowell had his helmet torn off in a scrum. By the facemask. No call. Now his helmet didnt just fall off by magic.

People cant agree on the interception call. I didnt see clear evidence to overturn the call of INT, yet the official spent very little time over turning it. He must have seen something indisputable no one else did,

Finally we have the PI that wasn't. Never turns to look for the ball. Clearly arrives early. textbook. Flagged. Picked up. Why?

Georgia clearly had the better of it at the LOS especially offensively, and yet they made and got away with enough mistakes to lose this game two times over. They were very fortunate laying the ball on the ground as much as they did and could easily have lost ugly.

Actually, as the game was played I thought they were pretty evenly matched. It was a great game. There is no arguing, in my mind, that the no call on the PI by Bolden was bad. It should have been called, and i would be lying if I said i wasn't relieved and happy about it.

and keeping the correct time on the clock.

I saw some people mentioning this, but I wasn't really watching the clock closely.

It was a great game, though. I hope we play again, but not in the SECCG. I don't want both teams coming out of that game beat up, and every time we play it is a bruising game.

I could argue either way on all the others, but this was the most egregious. I was surprised at the no call.

I also agree that they should probably go back to not using hands to block. It makes holding a bit more cut and dried.
