Similar to FSU who lost their QB a couple years back and didn’t make the playoffs for that reason despite being undefeated.
Does Ole Miss not make the playoffs because they lost their coach to LSU?

It’s a 12 team playoff. They’ll make it

12 team playoff is way different.
Also, the reason given for FSU was that they had a game without Travis and looked awful. Ole Miss won’t have a game without Kiffin for the committee to make that claim.

They could beat MSU 17-16 in the sloppiest Egg Bowl ever played and Chambliss get ripped in half like Marty in Not Another Team Movie and they’d be the 7 seed at worst.

There were 4 teams in 2023 and 12 teams in 2025 hope that helps
