I like Beamer. You won’t find a guy more dedicated to Columbia and the university, that’s for damn sure. I bet y’all could have 8+ wins in the Big 12 consistently!

In January 2025, Beamer signed a new contract with the school that increased his annual salary to $8.15 million, including several incentives. The contract extension gave him another five years, putting him through the 2030 season.
The extension was given to Beamer under former South Carolina athletic director Ray Tanner. Tanner hired Beamer back in 2020, so current South Carolina athletic director Jeremiah Donati doesn't have any specific hiring ties to Beamer.

The world where Beamer was just outside the playoff bubble in 2024, and was looking like his team was loaded for bear. He didn't need it then, but Ray Tanner was a terrorist.

That's what we all wanted. But SC had a baseball coach moonlighting as AD for more than a decade.

I really wonder if all these ADs giving out retarded contracts with stupid buyout clauses get kickbacks from their eventually fired coaches. Maybe a flat 10% of the buyout.
