Well...crootin' season is over, and we have a long offseason ahead of us.
I thought we could do some comparisons for all of our glorious SEC recruiting classes from yesterday.

Missouri:
Drew Lock - Jay Cutler
Terry Beckner Jr - Sheldon Richardson
Terez Hall - Aldon Smith
Josh Johnson - Marcus Murphy

I'm hoping those comparisons were a joke. Three of the best defensive linemen, two of the best QBs, and one of the best RBs in Tennessee history? Come on.

That's true. Still though, that would've taken delusional homerism to another level

I thought when I compared our 2* long snapper to Johnny Majors it would've been obvious I was joking.

Obviously not saying these kids will be as good as their comparisons but stylistically and potential. So take it as a comparison not as me saying they will be that good

Guice-Leveon Bell-powerful, fast and can catch

Brossette-Mark Ingram-slightly bigger but has the same feel and feet. Neither wow you athletically but just get yards

Ducre-Royce Freeman-big guy with good feet and big time speed

Tyron Johnson-Antonio Brown-polish and knowing the craft making his athletic skills seem more plentiful than they really are. Just gets open and makes plays

Chidi-Greg Robinson-longer and more raw but pure upside and athleticism

George Brown-Jerald Hawkins-DL turned OL with big time athletic ability and big potential. Extreme boom/bust

Key-Sam Montgomery-most LSU people say Mingo but he's not. Monty never lived up to his talent but athletically and frame wise they compare as prospects

Toliver-Richard Sherman-physically very similar in both stature and athletic ability. Both know the craft and the little things CBs can do to get an advantage. Neither are freaks like Peterson athletically so they use what they have and technique/tactics to hone their craft.

Jackson-Adoree Jackson-can legitimately play both sides of the ball and in the return game. Just electric athletes with big speed. Jackson is bigger slightly. Also think DAT would be a strong comparison.

Growden(P)-Wing-doubt he can punt like Wing but the guy will be the next Aussie P on the LSU campus that slays the ladies. If I'm in his shoes that's a win no matter how I punt.(aren't the ladies what college is all about?) Hopefully he goes to class though.

Barnett- Marcus Mariota

Doesn't have the top end speed, but similar frames and good accuracy. Barnett can hurt a defense with his legs, just don't expect an 80 yard touchdown run

Kendall Sheffield- Pacman Jones

Elite athlete that plays with more physicality than his size suggests. Compact frame

Minkah Fitzpatrick- Antonio Cromartie

Rangy corner with a little meat on his bones. Could play either side of the ball. Keenan Allen is another decent comparison coming out.

Calvin Ridley- Marquise Lee. Light in the britches but a threat to score at any time. Better hands coming out than Lee

Damien Harris- Ezekial Elliott.

Compact, tough runner with exceptional vision and the speed to score from anywhere. Just a complete back

Ronnie Harrison- From a frame standpoint this guy looks like the reincarnation of Sean Taylor. Tall and built like a Greek statue. High points the ball very well but played more offense in high school and isn't the monster tackler that Taylor was. Michael Huff is a fair comparison

Deionte Thompson-

Clinton-Dix. Ballhawk frame and ballhawk instincts. Not a huge thumper

Daylon Charlot-

Peter Warrick. Doesn't have elite speed but sure handed and as slippery as a snake in the open field.
