I mean the kid doesn't try in high-school games so it doesn't really matter
I like this hire more and more each time I read or hear something about Barry. I have no doubt that tonight's interview will only further increase that liking.
unfortunately I think AJ Epenesa (stud from Edwardsville) isn't going to even give us a glance now that Kul is gone

But he could...Missouri, Kansas, and Illinois always have some top-end guys but Pinkel has never been able to snag them. Richt will be able to, especially when he starts winning.

Also, no Mizzou fan should be expecting National Championships right now. Winning 10 games a year should be our top priority until we become a consistently good program. I'm not saying we should be looking for less than National Championships, but being ranked every year is good enough for us right now.

no, since Richt got fired. He's the only good coach I could see us landing. There's a possibility he would like to go up against Georgia every year and try to beat them for the East to prove that he's still a good coach.

And I only posted this after seeing all of the negativity surrounding him on here.

For anyone who doesn't want Richt

You are crazy. Why would you not want Richt, simply because Georgia fired him?!? They are crazy for doing so. They only fired him because they are much higher expectations then they should. Georgia is a great football school, but any school should be happy with these results, especially Mizzou fans:

Richt's Recruiting Classes:
2002 - #3
2003 - #6
2004 - #9
2005 - #10
2006 - #4
2007 - #9
2008 - #7
2009 - #6
2010 - #15
2011 - #5
2012 - #12
2013 - #12
2014 - #7
2015 - #6

Pinkel's Recruiting Classes:
2002 - #29
2003 - #28
2004 - #46
2005 - #39
2006 - #47
2007 - #33
2008 - #25
2009 - #40
2010 - #21
2011 - #48
2012 - #31
2013 - #41
2014 - #34
2015 - #27

So those numbers are pretty staggering. There's somethings to be said about that. Obviously, Georgia is a bigger name school, and more importantly it is in a great area for recruiting. No one is denying that. But that doesn't change the fact that Richt is an incredible recruiter.

Another thing some of you may argue is that Richt does less with his talent, while Pinkel did much more. Well, Pinkel may have done a good job developing talent, but since 1995, Georgia has had 107 players drafted in the NFL, good enough to be tied for 5th of all college through that time period. Mizzou couldn't even be found of the list.

So Richt can recruit, and he can put players in the NFL, but what about winning? Final AP rankings for both schools since 2000:

Georgia:
2000 - #20
2001 - #22
2002 - #3
2003 - #7
2004 - #7
2005 - #10
2006 - #23
2007 - #2
2008 - #13
2009 - NR
2010 - NR
2011 - #19
2012 - #5
2013 - #23
2014 - #9
2015 - NR

So Georgia had 7 top ten finishes, and finished ranked in 12/15 years. Mizzou had 2 top ten finishes, and finished ranked in 5/15 years.

So I ask you all, why not Richt? This information took me about 10 minutes to find and post, easy enough for anyone to see the surreal difference between Richt and Pinkel. Georgia got greedy and fired a great coach just because he hadn't been doing well recently.

Hell, even if Richt has gotten worse, and he is only able to produce like he did at Georgia from 2010-2015. That would be a hell of a jump for Missouri. Finishing ranked 4 out of every 6 years, 2 of those in the top ten, i'm sure every Mizzou fan would gladly take that.

So I plead with you fellow Mizzou fans, we want Richt!

I saw Beckner's mom said she and her son want coach Kul to be his coach no matter what. Also saw the same thing regarding Andy Hill & Drew Lock.

Those are our 2 huge pieces for the next 2 years at least and going forward, hopefully we can keep them happy.

If it can't be Herman or Fuente, then Patterson or bust. We badly need offense and TCU's offense has been absolutely deadly in his reign

Mizzou fan but have an upvote
I think I'm in the minority but we have no clue how well coach Kul could coach a whole defense. We know that he's the best positional coach in the country, but we have no idea if he can call a defensive game and coach up other parts of the ball. In a perfect world he would remain the D-line coach with a nice pay raise but that's unlikely

I would absolutely love this hire. Houston has been awful til this year and now that bad program is racking in 4 & 5 stars like never before. Throw money at the man!

Force the Student Body President to Resign

Posted by STL_MIZ on 11/11/15 at 11:02 am
spreading false facts last night and so far nothing he has said has had any evidence to back it up. He got the whole country thinking there was KKK on campus last night, making it seem like Mizzou was doing nothing to help students. But will he have to resign?

If you guys have twitter just search mizzou, all kinds of stuff from this app called Yik Yak. Basically it's an app where people anonymously write things that "can't be traced" and there's a ton of threats saying things like "don't go on campus tomorrow" and "Mizzou will really make national news tomorrow" and "I'm going to shoot every black person I see tomorrow"

Also the racist dude at Speaker's Circle

re: Petition to get Click fired

What's the over/under on how many Mizzou employees eventually lose their jobs because of this? I say around 10.

So far the only one I agree with is Melissa Click (hopefully she get's canned). But the President and Chancellor are both forced to resign, and now certain students are asking for professors to be fired because they are still having class tomorrow as planned.

I don't want anyone to be scared because of threats that people are making, and I certainly don't want anyone hurt, but you can't fire the entire staff and faculty at Mizzou due to these protests.
I'm a Missouri HS senior who will probably be attending Mizzou next year. While I think this is all extremely dumb (just like every recent protest has been), it will all blow over by the time I'm there.

If you're worried about sending your child to Mizzou because of this then you were probably already worried about them at a big state school in the first place. Besides the giant media coverage right now, this is nothing different than what happens at other Universities.
If Jeff Thomas commits (WR from ESL) which I think he might because I think the coaching staff will really offer him a lot, he will start as a freshman without a doubt. He is a DGB type talent without the hype because of his size.
