When does Alabama, Georgia, Texas, and LSU recruiting typically pick up?

Florida is on a heater right now sitting at #8 on 247.

This is not normal, and likely to change over the summer and through the season. However, I usually see the listed teams already in the top 5 / top 10. is it just slow right now?

I'm also ready to be let down again. This feels like that one class Napier let fall apart due to a poor season back in 2023 or 2024.

#14 - Texas
#18 - Georgia
#35 - LSU
#42 - Alabama

I don’t think general timing trends from prior years are indicative of much any more, but I assume things would pick up this summer.

Alabama is a notoriously slow starter. I’m sure their fans will correct me if I’m wrong but they seem to pick up in midseason. UGA varies but we usually start picking up momentum in the summer

Alabama will have a run of commits in June and July. Then basically be done. Finish near top 5. Rinse and repeat.

LSU only has 5 recruits but all are 5* or 4*

Overall, it looks like LSU is executing their plan well so far.

lol, you want to ask right now how all these big teams are going be doing with recruiting when you have transfer portals and money being flown around like crazy right now? This is a new day in recruiting. But enjoy your subtle brag

LSU just spent so much money on a roster that there’s only so many high school players we can really go after and if you’ve noticed Kiffin is only going after top top talent in high school. Just signed the top tight end in the country. He is going to be a beast

In years previous, summer camp season is the time period where most recruits used to commit. Nowadays I think schools are a lot more cautious with the early recruiting

That is a strategy for LSU, but it doesn't help depth, and it takes depth to win in the SEC. We will also see how that strategy works with team culture. It will be fun to watch, regardless.

I think Texas will land 2 or 3 five stars over the summer.

Kirby normally kills it right after official visits, so about to heat up.

Not sure Lane wants more than10 or 12 HS kids, will probably have good quality but not enough depth for a highly ranked class.

Not sure that Bama has the money, but we will find out soon enough.
