USC flipped a 5* from UGA and got commitments from several prospects who were leaning elsewhere over the weekend.

Top 10 player in the country, DL Justus Terry flipped from UGA

Isaiah Gibson, one of the top EDGE players committed. He had been trending UGA previously.

Hylton Stubbs high 4* S from Mandarin, FL I believe was a silent to Florida.

3* DL Gus Cordova also committed, but he seems like a guy that will be a 4 star by the time the rankings are finalized based on his offer sheet.

It will be interesting to see who sticks out of that group if the defense ends up being a Lincoln Riley special that can't stop a nose bleed.

He's only going to USC because every major program in the region stopped recruiting him for the hazing incident. He's talented but highly questionable character.

But yeah, they're finally paying big money. Surprised it took this long

Been following that story. His mom is not doing him any favors by putting on a PR blitz to try and justify his actions. Kid seems like a massive turd and the Lake Travis coaches also look stupid for trying to sweep it all under the rug. Enablers everywhere.

Not a fan of recruiting Cordova at all

USC's admin has been extremely conservative about NIL for high schoolers and instead focused on the portal and retention. Wouldn't even let the collective talk to recruits until they were enrolled and said they were waiting for more guidance from the NCAA.

I think the Tennessee ruling may have been a turning point here.

This one was less surprising as Mike Williams is his high school coach.

If USCw struggles this year in the big10, be on the lookout for those commits to be rescinded. Take note of Bear Alexander, was probably a first rounder with GA, but now....smh

Will still be drafted quite high

He had 9 tackles and two sacks his freshman year at Georgia, thats quite the statement

We'll see. He had a whopping 27 tackles and 1.5 sacks for USC this year.

My definition of "quite high" is top 3 rounds, he will likely test well so I'm pretty confident he hits that mark.

I can see that. But there’s a huge difference in a first round contract and a 3rd round

Sure, and he wasn't guaranteed to go 1st round at Georgia either.

He actually looked pretty good from the tape I've seen last season in a larger role. Almost assuredly has a better defensive coaching staff this year, results pending obviously.

He was on that path though. He had more sacks in the national championship game than he did all season last year. He was going to be a starter for UGA this year and would have had more help to free him up.

Dude got playing time as a true freshman on UGA's DL which has produced Jordan Davis, Jalon Carter, and Devonte Wyatt. He was on the same path as the first two, so yeah, a first round pick.

Looked like a future first rounder when he played for us. We wanted to keep him for sure. Obviously work ethic could be at play here but every time he was on the field he was noticeable as a freshman. That said, I don't follow USC W so have no idea why he hasn't made much of an impact.

Well theres your problem

I'm not some USC connoisseur or anything myself, but I at least watched them fairly often and every time I did he stood out to me.

I think theres some twisting yourself into a mental pretzel going on here when 9 tackles and 2 sacks (that came in the same game against an outmatched opponent when sacks aren't a sticky stat anyway) is on the path to being a first rounder, but 48 tackles 6.5 TFL and 1.5 sacks is not making an impact

It’s not that much of a pretzel. Most recent UGA guys who have contributed as freshman and sophomores (which he did) in the front seven have ended up as high draft picks.
