Nowhere in the article does it say USC or Muschamp is banned from the school. Change the false and clickbait title, weak and pathetic troll attempt.

It’s in the second paragraph of the article.

Nope nowhere does it say Muschamp and USC are banned from the school, even if he wanted Muschamp "banned" from the school he couldn't it's a public school, also he has deleted that tweet and apologized and he tweeted
quote:

Johnson followed with another tweet that was quickly deleted: "I have been advised that Stephenson is a public school and South Carolina is always welcome to visit!!!"

This thread title is USC & Muschamp Banned from Georgia High School which is flat out false and clickbait and should be changed.

This guy made a complete fool out of himself on Twitter and sportstalksc. Nobody is going to take him seriously after the series of tweets he sent out. Wouldn't surprise me at all if he's looking for a new job soon.

USC & Muschamp Banned from Georgia High School

So think about what you're claiming in your subject line and what this coach is doing with his knee jerk reaction to Muschamp managing his own P5 D1 recruiting efforts.

With your subject line you're claiming a public school can forbid a P5 D1 program from signing one of their players ... even though we've signed three out of there in just the past few years.

The coach is claiming that SC, who has taken kids out of that school in the past that few other programs wanted and turned them into D1 P5 players ... is now banned from taking any more players from that HS program.

SC has signed what, 12 players out of there in the past twenty years? No, wait, looks like 14. So one of Stephenson's most valued and cherished P5 D1 relationships ... will be forfeited by an assistant coach at the HS because a P5 D1 coach has questions about a prospect's physical condition and/or some character or academic issue that was not originally declared by same said HS RC when he met with some SC assistants earlier in the year?

Come on farmer ... you know better. Do you believe that Jimbo would be extorted into taking a kid by a HS RC, any HS RC, under a threat of being banned by said HS RC who then, in turn, went public with his wikd accusations knowing full well in advance that Jimbo could not publicly respond because of NCAA rules?

Would Jimbo bend a knee to a HS RC?

This HS RC ... he'll be on every coach's shite list in short order. Muschamp has close friends in Saban and Kirby, among many others, who have played and worked with him and respect his recruiting prowess. This HS RC has crapped in his own nest.

A HS Coach up in NC tried the same thing with Spurrier seven or either years ago and he's personna non grata now ... but hey, he was a UNC grad and he wanted his kids to go to UNC.

Any bets that this guy down in Georgia has some alterior motives?

Hell, I wasn't even keeping up with all of this childish nonsense until last night and it took me about an hour this morning to find out that this guy was trying to force a package deal down mUSChamp's throat for some leftovers.

Muschamp doesn't do package deals and he's not going to be extorted by some piss ant brat with a superiority complex bigger than his own. I suspect this one will be handled diplomatically but this HS RC will not be cow-towed to and it was a bush league move by a sinking ship that is Phil Kornblut's Sports Talk to acquiesce to this coach's demands for a public forum outburst on the SCNNetwork. That has not gone unnoticed by Muschamp.

We're way past the days of being extorted to take package deals. Scholarships are too valuable these days and these next two classes have to be damn near perfect, there is no room for a wasted LoI and what makes it even more critical for us this year is that we're looking to sign 4-5 LBs and we're trusting Mike Peterson's eye when it comes to talent at that position.

This stuff happens all the time. Some high school coach gets bent out of shape over a misunderstanding. Cooler heads prevail and everyone moves on from it.

You were just sharing reported news. No reason for everyone to get rustled.

What?Stephenson kids have been recruited and signed by UF,LSU.UGA and AU amongst several other P5 schools.
Even the lower tier kids that were offered by SEc were offered by other P5 schools.

This is beyond silly.

All schools not named Bama take package deals and how do you that's what this coach was trying to do?

I have no issue with it being posted...my reply was in no means aimed at you, Farmer. It was just an update to the situation.

Non issue IMO.

We had a similar situation happen like 7 or 8 years ago. Richt offered a guy (maybe a QB, can't quite remember) at Carver HS (jarvis jones, isaiah crowell, etc) in Columbus. The kid took his family up to Athens to commit but was basically told we couldn't take his offer. Their coach dell mcgee basically said hte same thing publicly as this SC coach, that "UGA is no longer welcome at Carver" and he wouldn't let our coaches recruit any of his kids.

It was all heat of the moment kinda stuff, but obviously a coach can't prevent kids from doing what's best for them and it was smoothed out in short order. Oh btw, that coach that said we were no longer welcome? He's now our RB coach and one of the best recruiters in the southeast.

Nature of the buisness. Creating these early relationships with under the radar recruits while not accepting a commitment from them is a fine line. Your always going to have guys feel slighted when you give them an offer and you tell them to hold up and relax and let us make sure you are a take. Kids get butthurt about it but it’s a buisness and every coach wants to take the best 25 they can take. Georgia cut a few players late last year....I don’t know that I agree with that because one a guy like Wildgoose was committed for so long and two it could burn you with a school. That being said, Campbell was obviously a better prospect so no way you can’t make that move. It is what it is.

Kids and high school coaches need to understand that just because they come to your school and say you have a scholarship offer it doesn't mean it's true. Most of the time they want you to go to their camp or work out in person before they'll accept your commitment.

Disagree on this. Too many programs do this, and it's dishonorable if you ask me. It's adults lying to high schoolers. It's something Dabo is intentional about not doing. If you are not ready to accept his commitment, don't offer the scholarship.

We all know Saint Dabo would never do anything dishonorable with a recruit, oh wait....
Dabo Swinney used negative recruiting against Urban Meyer to land 5 star

Yeah Dabo is not perfect, but he doesn't oversign and process guys, and he doesn't tell guys they have a scholarship offer and then pull it later. I think those are the two worst offenses of modern college football recruiting.

And it hurts us sometimes because it forces us to go late on a fallback that we miss on. But I will take that over the alternative.

Like every coach, he over offers.

No coach offers 25 kids... and then opens up more offers as kids choose to go elsewhere.

I promise you that offers get pulled when numbers tighten at Clemson. It is the nature of recruiting when there are 3 great QBs and you have room for 1.

So you are saying Dablow only offers 25 recruits max and waits for them to either say no or commit somewhere else before offering another player and that is how the Taters get their top 10 recruiting classes?

You are friggin delusional!! This is so hilarious!! What is funny is I am sure this coach was serious just like you were and was upset, but you know why there was a retraction and an apology because the players and their parents complained that they weren't going to be recruited by South Carolina when they didn't do anything different then any other school does. The coach tried to limit their options without even telling them! How does someone like that get in front of a podium and try lecture about what is fair for ANYONE to do after that?
