"Stephenson LB Tra Wilkins is reopening his recruiting and South Carolina is no longer welcome at Stephenson High School!!!" Stephenson assistant coach and recruiting coordinator Corey Johnson announced Friday night in a tweet that has since been deleted.

What a moron.

quote:

"If I felt that South Carolina is not right in terms of what they're doing and what they've done, it's my responsibility to turn around and shield my kids from that," he said Friday night. "It's nothing against South Carolina. At the same time, I've got to look out for my kids."

So you tweet that South Carolina is not welcome at the high school?

Again, what a moron.

quote:

After the radio talk, Johnson followed with another tweet that was quickly deleted: "I have been advised that Stephenson is a public school and South Carolina is always welcome to visit!!!"

You needed to be advised that you can't ban South Carolina?

Again again, what a moron.

Disagree on this. Too many programs do this, and it's dishonorable if you ask me. It's adults lying to high schoolers. It's something Dabo is intentional about not doing. If you are not ready to accept his commitment, don't offer the scholarship.

I've personally witnessed his coaches doing this to one of my players. Gtfoh.

Who was the player?

I never said that Dabo only puts out 25 offers... They put out fewer offers than most schools.

Everyone gives out noncommitable offers. It is actually the most used phrase on this board when a player commits to a team other than theirs, "They didn't have a commitable offer."

Why don't I just give everyone my social security number while I'm at it. I'll say he was running with the first team at an SEC school this spring. We'll see if that continues in the fall.

Nope, you said they don't throw out uncommittable offers. Which they absolutely do. Just like everyone else.

LB Tra Wilkins of Stone Mountain, GA, who declared a commitment to USC in April only to see Will Muschamp not accept it, announced a commitment to Kentucky Monday night.

Looks like he found a home in the SEC after all. Good for him to keep working hard and landing at Kentucky. I hope he goes on to have a great career there.
